Extinction Claim

[edit]

Is Bun Wurrung really an extinct language, as the article infobox says? Most of my research has made mention of people speaking it now - such as Carolyn Briggs, who is a Bunurong Elder and a NAIDOC award winner. AndThenTheyRan (talk) 03:58, 12 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Don't know. If you have a ref that there are still native speakers, please correct the box. — kwami (talk) 22:07, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
AustLang speaks of it in the past tense, lists no speakers. Victoria doesn't have many surviving languages. Removing the 'attention needed' tag. — kwami (talk) 09:39, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
