[edit]Lead The lead references the various activities that people can participate in at the boathouse, but there is no section in the actual article pertaining to those activities. The part about it being in operation for more than 100 years makes it feel relevant and important.
Structure Some of the information under the "tenants and operations" section should be in the "history and architecture" section. For example: "The boathouse has been offering boat rentals since it was constructed in 1893 when it was known as the Strawberry Lake Boathouse. It is unknown who ran the operation until Calvin V. Tilden first leased the property in 1943. In 1971, his son, Calvin B. Tilden, took over and it remained in the family until 2011 when San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department evicted them." Seems more historical than operational.
Balance/neutrality The article seems completely unbiased and offers no perspective other than information itself.
Sourcing All of the information drawn from sources should be hyperlinked right after the sentence (the little number that looks like an exponent) for easy access and reference. SF Gate the planning department, the parks and rec department, and the Huffington Post are all reliable sources.
The article is very informative about the Boathouse itself and its history and operation. Your writing is very scholarly and professional. I'm going to use this article as a model for the writing style of my article. In terms of gripes, I would've liked more information about the cultural significance of the boathouse. What is special about it that has kept it standing for so long? Why does it deserve a wikipedia article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Masonbissada (talk • contribs) 17:14, 17 April 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Really good article in keeping the un-bias tone throughout. It's clear that the boathouse has very little written on it, you did a good job with what you were given. However I do wish there was maybe one photo or maybe the original blueprints of the boathouse to do a slight comparison of what has changed. Also was there any disaster that effected the boathouse? Has any one famous been to it or is there a famous club that meets there to this day? (I think the miniature boating club of SF meets there?) Other than that it's a really good start and I look forward to reading the finish result!

[edit]Forward!
Hello Mason and Rosa, Thank you for the advice. I added some more information about the park, fixed the references and added a photo. Wikipedia did not have anything written about it and it has a long history, but I didn't want to add anything about what makes it special because I didn't want to bias the article. Was it Tilden who was evicted? Or, was it "longtime operator Bruce McClellan"?
[edit]From May 26, 2011, with no mention of any Tilden:
"Sarah Ballard with the Recreation and Park Department said that the court has refused to issue an injunction and the longtime operator, Bruce McClellan, has been told to leave by May 31." -- https://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2011/05/26/stow-lake-operator-ordered-to-vacate-premises/ Jyg (talk) 06:32, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
