Discussion
[edit]Needs to be generalized to discuss Bridgestone Golf globally, not just North America. Section within Bridgestone article also needs work. bigissue (talk) 20:27, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
I went ahead and added some good content and sources while correcting some grammatical errors that existed. There is still a lot of information that could be added to this article, so please feel free to contribute and add your own input into this article. NoClemency (talk) 06:00, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
- Unfortunately most of what you added was either non-encyclopaedic or purely promotional and I have had to remove it. wjematherbigissue 17:36, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
I went ahead and added more content to the page and this time focused extra hard on making sure it was in no way promotional. Hope it is okay, and it can stick. If you have any specific comments on my work, please commit and read my talk page. Thanks. NoClemency (talk) 07:51, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
- Reverted again – same problems. wjematherbigissue 17:05, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
Again, I am new here, but I have rewritten this article several times in order to make it as unbiased and unpromotional as possible. I understand that some comments that I made in the past where I went in depth on the free customization of golf balls offered by Bridgestone could be seen as promotional. However, I replaced all that information with more facts like market share and changes within the company and details about how their company functions using citations and facts within the company. It is very clear that this page appears to mean a lot to you after looking through the article's history pages. So if you can give me any advice of what you are looking for in more detail of what is wrong with the information that I have been posting so far that would be great. Again, I'm just a new Wikipedian, and I am in no affiliation with Bridgestone, I'm only here trying to add value to a page that has very little. NoClemency (talk) 18:58, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
- Please just read through the basic policies and guidelines as linked in the welcome message I posted on your talk page. Pay particlular attention to WP:V, WP:RS, WP:NPOV. The company website and press releases by the company are not good sources for neutral information. wjematherbigissue 20:00, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
