merge "China Commercial Aircraft Company" to this article
[edit]China Commercial Aircraft Company is as same as Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd. Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd. is the official English name of the company.--Jingandteller (talk) 20:50, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
- Per Wikipedia:Naming conventions (companies): "Convention: The legal status of the company (Inc., plc or LLC), is not normally included". Thus I've removed "Ltd," from the article name. It can still be included in the title line of the text. ("In the article itself, the title sentence of the article should include the abbreviated legal status.") - BillCJ (talk) 16:47, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China → Comac — Simple name, like Boeing or Airbus. Comac is the name that everybody use. Thanks--Sophie2895 (talk) 11:57, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

Comac → COMAC – COMAC should be in all uppercase letters like shown the website here. The company brands COMAC in all uppercase letters JetBlast (talk) 10:20, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
- Comment It does seem that COMAC was originally in uppercase but i am unable to find a discussion regarding this. --JetBlast (talk) 10:42, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
- Disagree. Per WP:MOSCAPS, branding does not matter. It is all caps if COMAC are initials. If it is spoken as though it is a word than it stays uncaptilised. Some fonts naturally have no lower cases, that isn't a reason to change the title of an article. --Falcadore (talk) 11:55, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:MOSCAPS. The third-party sources in the article, where they use "Comac" at all, spell it as a proper noun and not as an acronym. (One source even uses CACC, a straight initialism.) As an additional note, this and related moves should have been discussed in a single place, rather than spread out among multiple articles. Powers T 15:45, 31 July 2011 (UTC)

This (inofficial) voting about flags and country info in orders might concern even this article. It is proposed to remove about 10.000 flags related to aircraft orders and articles including country info. Tagremover (talk) 10:22, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
