Orphaned references in DC Animated Movie Universe

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of DC Animated Movie Universe's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "dccomics.com":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 15:30, 7 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Who removed Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox? Please fix!

[edit]

The idea that it isn't a part of the DCAMU is just ridiculous. It shows the universe pre-New 52, and the movie is further proved to be canon by Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay. I honestly don't understand how this is even a question. The page obviously used to be correct. Why was it changed? It should be changed back. --SUPER7X (talk) 14:18, 9 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. I came here too, confused why Flashpoint Paradox is not mentioned on this list, but is listed as "First film set in the DC Animated Movie Universe" on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_films_based_on_DC_Comics#Animated_films -- I need these to be numbered correctly, as in DCAMU01 DCAMU02 ...etc - 45.131.210.17 (talk) 04:28, 13 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
User:95.151.49.199 was responsible for removing The Flashpoint Paradox without discussion in this massive edit on March 30, 2019. I agree with the others posting here that the removal is wrong and am going to start putting it back in, but it's going to take time and be a lot of work because there are so many tables involved, which have changed quite a bit since the time of that removal. —Lowellian (reply) 18:41, 19 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Done now, I think. The recurring cast tables were the hardest part and took the longest time. —Lowellian (reply) 19:53, 19 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Justice League Doom

[edit]

Shouldn't Justice League Doom also be a part of this list? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.1.137.62 (talk) 20:11, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also Batman Ninja, while we're at it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.1.137.62 (talk) 20:15, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No is not about DC animated movies in generell but about the DCAMU movies, and only the 15 here are part of this universe — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.59.185.195 (talk) 19:22, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Where and when was the universe named?

[edit]

I don't see any sources actually declaring it that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.105.10.79 (talk) 06:10, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Well, if you watch the bonus features on the Blu-rays, the producers/directors/writers/animators talk about the listed movies as being in-continuity with each other. They were originally based on New 52 continuity but then started absorbing non-New 52 stories, such as Death of Superman and Hush. There are articles on the Internet that discuss this continuity.

Ratings

[edit]

I think this section/table should be removed. While I understand that it may've taken someone a bit of time to create the table, its utility is rather low. These were direct-to-video movies and thus only publications predisposed to liking the movies covered them. You can see this manifesting itself in the low numbers of reviews for each movie. A "100% Fresh" rating from only five reviews doesn't really say anything substantive.136.49.32.166 (talk) 19:07, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

it is a recurring problem, particularly in list articles, that editors include tables because they can and not because they have something to say. See also WP:PROSE. the table did not say much, most of the films were well received by the usually limited number of genre critics that bothered to review them.
maybe i should have deleted it as suggested but i decided to WP:PRESERVE and merge instead which at least looks a little more intentional. i merged the Rotten Tomatoes info with the other table (and other fixes) to create a single Reception table. -- 109.78.206.181 (talk) 02:03, 16 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

DC Rebirth

[edit]

Shouldn’t there be a section on this page talking about the new DC Rebirth continuity? Since i think it is meant to be the new rebooted universe created by The Flash after the events of Apokolips War. Anonypedia69 (talk) 23:04, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Timeline?

[edit]

Not convinced this section should exist - not only is it unsourced and seemingly speculative, but it contradicts some of the creative figures' comments on the matter (example here) Plyworth (talk) 20:30, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That section seems primarily to be a product of WP:OR, rather than actual sourcing. I also don't think it would be possible to create a "sourced" version of the section, since it appears that certain comments from different creatives regarding timelines have been contradictory to each other. So I agree that the section ought to be removed. — Jamie Eilat (talk) 05:09, 29 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Merging "DC Animated Movie Universe" and "Tomorrowverse"

[edit]

Greetings. I share you a new draft that merges the DC Animated Movie Universe and Tomorrowverse articles in one, and I fixed at least the most certain errors. I hope you like it. Thanks. Fico Puricelli (talk) 11:14, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
