Anon
[edit]An anon added and an endorser of the Genocide Intervention Network to a bunch of pages.
Don't want to revert if it's true. Mikereichold 07:03, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, it says so on the site's list of endorsers. [1] I am not surprised, Payne has been very vocal about Darfur since the genocide began as you can see from the info I added in the article.-Jersey Devil 07:03, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
Of note?

COI
[edit]I noticed an article at Slashdot (found here) that discussed further congressional edits to Wikipedia, particularly at 2003 Invasion of Iraq, highlighting this diff. I had a look at the contributions from the IP in question, User:143.231.249.141, and noticed a significant number of recent edits to this article. In particular, this material, which was added on 13 December, appears to be a direct copy of the congressman's official website, found here. As the IP is registered to the United States House of Representatives, a potential conflict of interest exists. While the information may be included, I believe it should be 1) reworded so as not to be a verbatim copy of an official source, and 2) reviewed to ensure a Neutral point of view. I'll have a look this weekend, as I get time, and see what can be done to correct the issue. ZZ Claims ~ Evidence 18:43, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
