Article Revamp

I am going to clean up this article so that it only pertains to information related to Envoy (formerly American Eagle Airlines). For example, the history section will only contain information for Envoy/AEA from its inception in 1998. The incidents and accidents section will only contain those that were specifically operated by Envoy/AEA. All other information will move to the American Eagle (airline brand) page.--Kmk1011 (talk) 20:28, 26 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Executive merge

I sugested the merge, because, quite frankly, almost all the information on the Executive Airlines article is already in this article. The only information not on this page is the infobox. Is that really enough to keep the Executive page? American Eagle Airlines and Executive Airlines both make up the American Eagle system, so I really don't see a reason to keep them separate. Oppose. American Eagle and Executive are still separate airlines, even though they are both part of AMR. I feel that they should maintain separate articles, though the part on Executive should be limited to what is relevant to that company. -- Hawaiian717 15:05, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there.

For simplicity it would be nice to merge these together however......being to different airlines with seperate operating certificates... I do not think it would be appropriate.

oPPOSE/rEJECT. American Eagles Holding company is just a shell, just like AMR Corporation, UAL Corporation, and US Airways Group. They aren't in the business or operating aircraft; they exist for the mere purpose of owning a bunch of diverse holdings, of which the primary subsidiary is an airline!--Inetpup (talk) 16:28, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose American Eagle Airlines now encompasses the operations of both American Eagle Airlines, Inc. and Executive Airlines, Inc., but Executive has its own identity, and a history prior to joining AMR, which deserves to be preserved. Dusty.crockett (talk) 16:38, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AMR Spinoff or Sell

I edit a St. Maarten newsletter with 117,000 readers, many of whom use American Eagle flights (Executive Airlines) from SJU to St. Maarten. Merging data on both AMR subsidiaries will cause monumental confusion and we think merging is a bad idea. Split Envoy and American Eagle articles

Envoy is the new name of the AMR company owned regional airline. The American Eagle brand name will still be used by all American Airlines' regional airline partners including Envoy. An article for American Eagle should be split from this one.Janus657 (talk) 12:24, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Envoy is American Eagle Airlines' new name so this article is talking about one company and their history. There is no need to split this article. Someone placed a redirect upon American Eagle destinations which previously included destinations for; Executive, SkyWest, (MQ), Republic, et. all.

This redirect is in error and needs to be correct for the editor has unintentionally i am sure, confused the brand with the airline, which has often been the case with a (MQ) the airline, and American Eagle the brand 38.111.151.140 (talk) 19:14, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Getting in a series of redirects

we need 1) Envoy (airline)

2) Envoy destinations

3) American Eagle destinations (brand)

Similar how we have Delta Connection destinations US Airways Express destinations United Express destinations

American Eagle - the brand subcontracted out to regional airlines is just like these above, to SkyWest, Republic, Chautauqua, Envoy et. al. and we do need a separated destinations page for American Eagle

(MQ) American Eagle Airlines - FAA certificated succeessor carrier of the merged Eagles / Flagship, Simmons
(MQ) Envoy - the rebranded successor carrier.

Article rename

The new name is not in effect yet, it won't officially be called "Envoy" until March 2014 (http://www.upi.com/Business_News/2014/01/15/American-Eagle-Airlines-to-get-a-new-name-Envoy/UPI-13481389815252/). I fixed the numerous lowercase renderings "envoy" which are not consistent with the airline's use of "Envoy" and "Envoy Air" as the textual representation of the name. The lowercase "envoy" is only in the graphical logo. Jpp42 (talk) 03:56, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Number of ERJ145s
