The information which you have posted is incorrect . The Hotel was owned by the affluent Walker family and they styled the interior to replicate the stately home of Chatsworth House in Derbyshire. My family and I spent pleasurable holidays in the charming hotel. At one time, Mrs Walker would have like my mother to marry her son, but she declined and instead took up the position of Manageress instead. The hotel was closed in the late 1960's and all the contents were auctioned off including a Baccarat crystal chandelier when Mr Charles J Walker died.
