The Ghaziabad city is ranked 2 in the fastest growing cities between 2006 and 2020 by CityMayors and the link is http://www.citymayors.com/statistics/urban_growth1.html. I could not add citation for this link, please someone else can do this for us.

Thanks, Deepak

The result of the move request was: Moved. No opposition, and seems reasonable.  — Amakuru (talk) 14:35, 18 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

– Clearly WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. In Google Books search for "Ghaziabad", all results returned are for Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad. No results for Ghaziabad District, Kunar or Ghaziabad, Karachi could be found there. Also on Google search, and Google News, when "Ghaziabad" is searched, all of the results returned are for Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad. Even if the disambiguator "Uttar Pradesh" with this title was meant to be used to difference this topic from Ghaziabad district, Uttar Pradesh, then it does not disambiguate at all, because the city and the district named after it, both, are located in Uttar Pradesh. Merged content from Draft: Raj Nagar (District) to here. See Talk: Ghaziabad. Aaryangupta23 (talk) 19:26, 27 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I propose to merge Ghaziabad district, Uttar Pradesh into Ghaziabad. I think that the content in the Ghaziabad district, Uttar Pradesh article can easily be explained in the context of Ghaziabad, and the Ghaziabad article is of a reasonable size that the merging of Ghaziabad district, Uttar Pradesh will not cause any problems as far as article size is concerned. @Aaryangupta23: hi! I propose that the pages remain different, since there are many city pages across wikipedia, as well as district pages which are expected to contain different kinds of information (the district being administered by district admin (state govt), city by municipal admin (city/local govt).

City versus District information

[edit]

The demographic data (on religions) is about the district and not the city. Please note that district related information must be on the district page [1] and not here. Nagarpedian (talk) 05:57, 8 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
