Headquarters?
[edit]The article in its intro gives the headquarters as being Abu Dhabi, yet is given as Milpitas, CA, USA in the summary box on right. Which is correct? 68.51.124.248 (talk) 19:42, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
About the redirection
[edit]According to MOS:TM page,
Follow standard English text formatting and capitalization rules even if the trademark owner considers nonstandard formatting "official"
Using all caps is preferred if the letters are pronounced individually, even if they don't stand for anything.
Therefore redirecting Globalfoundries to GLOBALFOUNDRIES is clearly against these guidelines. --Idle.man5216 (talk) 16:36, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- I have moved the article to GlobalFoundries, and updated corresponding redirects. --Idle.man5216 (talk) 16:54, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Name
[edit]Whoever changed GloFo to GF, thank you. 204.174.232.2 (talk) 01:10, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
Changing capitalization
[edit]According to MOS:TM the company is to be referred to as GlobalFoundries, not GLOBALFOUNDRIES which is the company's style. There is other examples of this. Yahoo! Wikipedia. abc518 (talk) 14:32, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
- It was written GLOBALFOUNDRIES throughout when I came across the article, so I just changed it to follow the style guide. I didn't check the edit history to see how it had gotten to be the way it was. 66.127.55.192 (talk) 00:07, 15 February 2010 (UTC)
- I've just reverted a re-capitalisation by an anon editor. Although the company uses all capitals on its website, other writers follow the same policy as Wikipedia and use "GlobalFoundries". Dbfirs 21:08, 12 August 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on GlobalFoundries. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}

Inaccurate Link
[edit]I tried to follow link number 6, and it didn't provide the information that the sentence contained (ex.Global Foundries is the largest private employer in Vermont). Can anyone find that? Lensfielding (talk) 14:01, 24 August 2018 (UTC)Lensfielding
mm or nm
[edit]The article says:
"As of 2023, GlobalFoundries is the third-largest semiconductor foundry by revenue. It is the only one with operations in Singapore, the European Union, and the United States: one 200 mm and one 300 mm wafer fabrication plant in Singapore; one 300 mm plant in Dresden, Germany; one 200 mm plant in Burlington, Vermont (where it is the largest private employer) and one 300 mm plant in Malta, New York."
I believe wafers are measured in nm. Kwspikie6kw (talk) 03:32, 4 January 2024 (UTC)
