Removal of houseblogs.net

[edit]

houseblogs.net and the has been removed from this article but as that site is relevant to the discussion of the growth of house blogs as they've been integral to the community growing as noted by the Wall Street Journal and New York Times, both very notable sources.

Discussion of merge to blog

[edit]

I am tentatively opposed to merging this article to blog, but only insofar as this article gets developed a bit more (not by me!). Given the cited references, I have a vague vision as to where this article might go, and how it might become notable enough to stand on its own. If there is no further development of the article in the immediate future, however, I can't see why the article shouldn't be merged to blog and reduced to a very brief mention there. There are, in fact, many niche purposes for blogs - holiday blogs, "My bad experience with some-evil-company" blogs etc. Having a separate article for 'house blogs' seems a bit like having a separate article for 'cat books' - "Cat books are a type of book that are all about cats. They are popular with cat owners and people who are thinking about buying cats". Personally I'd move for deletion. Spookylukey (talk) 16:34, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm in favor of deletion, and moving the term "house blogs" to the main blog article - just a mention of house blogs, with the references on the current page. Joshuagross (talk) 21:13, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
