Shadows?

[edit]

Should the shadow positions really be here? They're not federal offices but creations of the DC government, so treating them as "congressional delegations" seems wrong. It also increases the confusion about the difference between the shadow representative and DC's delegate to the House. I'd suggest moving the shadow positions over to the shadow congressperson article. KCinDC (talk) 17:23, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm inclined to agree; the delegate is an actual, official position, but the shadows are not recognized at all by the federal congress, and while the delegate IS part of a congress and a member of the congressional delegation, the shadows are not accorded the same recognition. --Golbez (talk) 18:02, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe the page should look more like the ones for American Samoa, Guam, or Virgin Islands, since the actual congressional representation is the same. That might entail a name change like those pages have undergone as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by KCinDC (talkcontribs) 03:03, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
