Inasmuch the Awash River is 1200 km long, exactly which segment is considered the "Middle Awash"? What is the closest town or village? -- llywrch 04:59, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
- I haven't seen a good map, but, for reference, Hadar and Bouri are bother considered to be within the Middle Awash region. Lucy was discovered near Hadar. CNN has a somewhat helpful map of the general area. bcasterline t 05:30, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
