Rename

[edit]

I think we should move this to Trade unions in India, in line with the names from Wikipedia:WikiProject Organized Labour/list of Trade unions in country articles, and then build on it from there.--Bookandcoffee 17:48, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Inaccuracy

[edit]

The article says that the unions are "affiliated" to some party or the other. This is completely incorrect as there is no affiliation of any trade union in india with any party, although most trade unions are associated with or linked to some party. This is an important distinction. --ReluctantPhilosopher (talk) 10:58, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Government of India has last officially verified in 2002. In 2013 there was no verification. Central Trade unions have made some claims, some are highly inflated based on year 2011. Some of the claims have been found inflated and bogus. The verification process is not complete and results have not so far published.
