Breeders is a 1997 science fiction horror film written and directed by Paul Matthews. It is a remake of the 1986 film of the same name which was directed by Tim Kincaid. The film centralizes on a group of college girls that are stalked by an alien creature who attempts to impregnate them in order to bear its offspring.[1]

Release
[edit]The film was first released on DVD by Metro Video on Nov 18, 1997. Since then it has been re-released on DVD several times by different distributors.[2]
Reception
[edit]Critical reception for the film has been mostly negative. TV Guide awarded the film 1 / 4 stars, criticizing the film's script, dialogue, and direction, stating, "Once one gets past the eye-catching artwork on the video box and the nifty computer-generated title sequence, it's straight downhill for this alien-on-Earth schlocker".[3]
