Something About Me
Hello ♥
I'm Synonymous Solecism, but feel free to call me Synonymous Solecism for short. I'm 25 but I feel 98 most days and I'm perpetually confused.
I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome which basically means my body is held together with bubblegum, sellotape and wishful thinking. It also means I sound like a rice krispies when I move because all of my joints crack and snap.
But on the plus side, I have a dozen different takeaway menus in my kitchen drawer, nice hair and a saving account, so I've really got my life together.
I'm from England (specifically the south) but I consider myself European first and British second. I used to live in London, which taught me how to pay twenty quid for a cocktail and survive without natural light.
In the words of Henry James, I feel in italics and think in CAPITALS.

What I lack in wisdom, I make up for with incompetence.

I like graphic design, make-up artistry, writing, funny books, rock and punk music, and good cups of tea.
I love brunch, mostly because I can’t be bothered to make both breakfast and lunch. Combining it into a whimsical mish-mash of both is perfect.
I have a degree in History with a particular emphasis on the history of sexuality, the perception of the supernatural/cultural superstitions and mental health/psychiatry, so if you ever want to know about witches having relations with the devil, hit me up.
I also have an interest in human biology, particularly how our brains work and general neurology.

I wonder if Pavlov ended up thinking about feeding his dogs every time he heard a bell ring?
