No. It is a preventative measure to protect the project from disruption by some editors. See WP:BLOCK for further information. Unfortunately records show that this IP address has been the source of a persistent pattern of disruptive editing which has resulted in multiple short term blocks before I imposed the longer one now in place. -Ad Orientem (talk) 01:23, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
