[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Abraham Lincoln, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Could you please read reliable source guideline before adding links to googlegroup messages? — Indon (reply) — 09:54, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Hi and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your edit efforts on World War I. You may be wondering why they were reverted. Please understand that it is not a personal dispute, just the way things work here. A review of Neutral_point_of_view should make it clear. The citation of your own google groups post failed on two counts. First, it's not verifiable (as above). Second it's an end run on the No_original_research guideline. When I read your google groups post it was evident it was largely based on references that you could have directly cited in your entry to the wikipedia article. Particularly when an edit is liable to be controversial it is worth extra effort to observe the guidelines. Nonetheless, I commend your effort to Be_bold. LeadSongDog 14:58, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
