A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Mjmpremier, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages; user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: Click here to contest this speedy deletion which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy deletion candidate). Doing so will take you to your user talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also edit this page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would help make it encyclopedic. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. INeverCry 01:39, 15 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
    • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
    • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. —Cryptic 01:42, 15 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I opened this account over a year ago. I did not research in advance. A death in my family took me away. Today my goal was to retrieve my forgotten password and finally create a first page. One for MJM PREMIER and then help get pages created for some of my celebrity/associated clients. The first client [redacted]. My company brands her and I am her Manager. I thought I had to create my company page first to show we are affiliated. I am very confused. I assure you my intentions are above board. I need to get her a page created. Another associated artist [redacted] has already created her page. [redacted] needs hers done and I need help understanding exactly how to do it within all your guidelines. It took me almost an hour to figure out how to reply here... having trouble. I can make any changes you advise to fix whatever I have done wrong. I need guidance though. Thank you. Decline reason:

You can't promote your clients here, sorry. Also, probably you shouldn't mention your clients' names publicly, so I've redacted their names. Max Semenik (talk) 05:11, 15 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I Still Need Your Help To Fully Understand

Request reason:

I am not just trying to "just promote". I thought it was proper to have my client listed on Wikipedia because you have a page for ANOTHER artist associated with Prince that has less time working with him than my client. I thought you allowed "information/bio pages" after I saw this was published https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liv_Warfield I was simply doing due diligence to make sure my client had a similar page created for herself. Nothing more or less. I am a TOTAL NOVICE to Wikipedia. I created my company page MJM PREMIER thinking the same thing. It needed to be done as a bio type page describing the company. Obviously I did it wrong. :) I really really would hugely appreciate your guidance more than the refusal to unblock. Please just tell me what needs to done and I will perform it to the letter. Thank you in advance! Mjmpremier (talk) 14:22, 15 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Firstly, you need to change your username to a name that is unconnected to any organisation or product, so for your next unblock request you should use the text:
{{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}

Secondly, I am unconvinced that you should be editing articles where you have a significant conflict of interest. PhilKnight (talk) 17:28, 15 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

PhilKnight I did what you suggested and changed the username. Let me know if it is permissable. Again please understand that I had no intent to do anything unethical or questionable. I am a professional that works with great integrity. I was simply and naively thinking I could create a Living Person/Bio page like the other artist did. She is not my client but she is also apart of the same band with my client. So I was only trying to add her bio. I opened my account a year ago with no activity until now because I had no time to study and review how to do things. I was trying to finally get started by first creating my own page. Thinking that was the proper protocol. Not knowing the way I authored my text was not within you guidelines. I didn't even know the username was an issue until now. All I want to do is create a Living Person/Biography page for Shelby J. I would not do anything improper here and I have enough professional experience to possibly serve to edit articles. If you have a suggestion for me or direct instruction on how to acheive my goal please help. I would be able to authenticate whatever we need to as references. There is plenty of content online to support it all.

Decline reason:

You were told above that you must suggest a name that is not connected to any organisation or product, and you choose the initials of your company. That is not acceptable. Frankly, I think your only purpose in coming here is to promote your clients or their associates. I don't think you understand that Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia and that it is not a directory. Request reason:

I am very simply trying to ensure that the same way you published a Living Person Bio for Liv Warfield that we have one published for Shelby J. in case someone is seeking more historical information. It is not strictly about promoting a client. I have a legal background and I work with integrity and ethics in mind. I have no interest in doing anything but what is right or possible. If you are telling me that she does not qualify for a Living Person Bio Page than I accept that though I would be confused as to why her bandmate has one. That is all. As for the acronym of the company name. I could not think of anything but that at the time. It was not "strategic" it can be any name. Whatever you suggest. It is not some kind of covert operation on my part. :) I am promise you I just saw that Liv had a bio page here and wanted to ensure the same kind of page was created. I did not expect all of this misunderstanding and push back. I explained I am a novice. I have been asking for direction and support to do things correctly and ensure a proper page is created. That is all.

Decline reason:

You have to suggest the name. You've had plenty of time - unless there is a pressure at your end to get this article created. Wikipedia can wait - the encyclopaedia won't be finished this year... Please note that one person having an article does not mean that another should. There may be more notability for one than the other, or the one that has the article may have it because no-one has noticed it - in fact there is a tag on Liv's article questioning its notability. That's not what we are talking about here. We are concerned that you are not choosing an acceptable name and that you only seem to be interested in this one subject. You seem to have a conflict of interest - your subject being more important to you than the encyclopaedia is (please see WP:COI). What would you edit about if you were not allowed to post an article on Shelby J? Peridon (talk) 15:51, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
