There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Alexf(talk) 17:58, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am not a business or organisation and the last thing on my mind was promotion. I am an individual user who is mainly looking to contribute articles and information about pianos and synthersizers (such as the one I was working on JD-XA). The article I have been banned for "Imaginary Audience (music artist)' is objective and adequately referenced information from the groups google artist page and an official Australian ABC website Triplle J Unearthed. I'm not sure I understand how this is regarded as promotional, a description of who they are and the tracks to their album is public knowledge and is objective (as indicated on their google artist profile). I feel a complete shutdown of my account is unnecessary as I am new to wikipedia and finding my way, that page was designed to test my editing skills and to get a feel for the interface. Can you please lift this block, and also explain how that page is promotional, I would be happy to discontinue working on it OR continue but not be promotional (this is not my intention). As indicated it is intended to be factual, and is merely a description as per their profile on an official Australian ABC website and google artist info. ?. Surely not worthy of a lifetime ban from editing? Any assistance to lift this ban and advise me how I can create that page in a manner which conforms to wikipedia guidelines (all of which I have read) would be greatly appreciated

Decline reason:

You can't have a username which suggests you are a specific person when are not them, so please make a new unblock request that specifies a new username as requested in the block message. Please also answer 331dot's question, below.

As for a "lifetime ban from editing", you do not have a lifetime ban, as that is not what the word "indefinite" means. It only means the block is not for a specific period, but just until the issues behind the block are rectified - an indefinite block can even be as short as a few minutes. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Your username was that of the musician you were writing about; this suggested that you are that person, and it appeared you were the musician merely telling the world about your music, which is why the edits were considered promotional. Since you seem to state that you are not Audience Imaginary, please state the nature of your relationship with them. Please note that merely telling about an artist or their music is considered promotional unless you can show with independent reliable sources how the musician meets WP:BAND. 331dot (talk) 07:44, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
