Redirect pages

Just so you know, redirect pages go in the form of #REDIRECT article name . Please remember to put two square brackets around the name of the article you are re-directing to. Thanks for your time. -- gtdp (talk)(contribs) 20:51, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

I was typing too fast for my brain and forgot them. I tried to fix it right after.Bdve 20:53, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

That happens to me a lot too... -- gtdp (talk)(contribs) 21:05, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

Hi, i am the one who cleaned up Wright's article... but could you do me a favour and watch the edits on that page for me? as i see not long after you edited User:Joecashfire reverted it back to the messy version --- Paulley 15:19, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

Mike The Miz

Re: John Cena - edit 24th Aug 2006

It was not actually "week by week trash" as you quoted, it was following on from the previous event listed in the wiki for John Cena and adds to the contunuity of what happened at the PPV and what happened to the John Cena WWE belt. -- Mikecraig 14:10, 24 Aug 2006

Explain to the wiki community why the WWE championship belt incident recently (relating to the custom belt for John Cena) and it's final outcome is not relevant to the John Cena wiki ? Mikecraig 26 Aug 2006

Because it's on the WWE Championship page and the Edge page. It doesn't need to be on the Cena page as it has nothing to do with Cena outside of a week-by-week breakdown sense. -Bdve

No probs! Good to see that the WWE Championship page now shows the new belt also - Mikecraig

I appreciate your attempt to fix the broken Buffy link in Twin Peaks, but I'm afraid it didn't work. Your change resulted in:

4th-season

which, besides being unnecessarily complex, added a "#", ensuring failure. (I added the actual link to the no-wikied text of your edit above to allow you to see the result without having to check the "Twin Peaks" history.)

Might I make two suggestions for furture internal link fixes?

 1. Don't use the dot notation unless it's essential. It rarely is. In this case, "4th-season" works perfectly fine, even with the parentheses and the en-dash. In fact, it's not a bad rule of thumb, when fixing such links, to assume the editor who created such a complex link didn't need to, and to first try just replacing it with the actual text from the heading of the target section.
 2. Always, always, always test link changes before saving. This is an unbelievably common error, even for experienced wiki editors. (I should know. [sheepish grin])

I hope you find this information useful. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 19:42, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for pointing that out, I could swear when I previewed it it worked.Bdve 19:47, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

3RR

Please see WP:3RR. Your edits to Layla El are in danger of violating this policy, which may result in a block. Please note that I have not looked into the matter, however, to see whether your edits truly are in violation or are just, say, reverting vandalism. As such, you may be entirely innocent. I do advise reading WP:3RR, however, just so you can be sure. --Yamla 03:29, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

I just can't get through to user JB196. He continues to revert the article, reducing its quality claiming that he is not credited as "The Author" in the article itself. The issue is being brought up here [1] help would be greatly appreciated. -- bulletproof 3:16 04:02, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

JTG

According to the observer his real name is Devon Driscoll, he's 21 years old and from Brooklyn, NY. The second two fit the myspace info but the name is off. I'm not sure how this is going to go but on the actual myspace page it doesn't list his name as Jayson Paul. –– Lid(Talk) 06:36, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

Championship Sucession

Just to let you know if "we don't do this anymore" then everybody better look at the other wrestling wiki's as alot of them still have these tables. Mikecraig 18 Sept 2006

Sig.

Hey, I was just wondering how you got your signature like that. I keep messing with mine and I can't get it to change. Could you help me? Thanks. --Mikedk9109 19:53, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

When I save it, and then go to use it it comes up as a bunch of text. Not the links. --Mikedk9109 20:18, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I got it. Thanks. --Mikedk9109 (talk to me) (watch me) 22:13, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
