The page User:CUI Universität Hamburg/sandbox/Cluster of Excellence - CUI: Advanced Imaging of Matter has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appeared to be a direct copy from https://www.cui-advanced.uni-hamburg.de/en/cluster.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition has been be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion Review Yunshui  09:36, 29 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
There have been three problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, the account has been used to add copyrighted text or images into Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. Additionally, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block. To do so, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Requested username:

Request reason:

Dear Wikipedian, I worked in a sandbox and I assumed I could start to post texts freely and then edit the texts. I´m in charge of the website of the cluster (where I took text and infos from) and so I did not violate copyright issues. As I thought I was working in a sandbox that is for a reason not publihed yet, I please ask you kindly to set up the page again so I can finish my work. I´m not working for a business but a research institution that is connected to the already existing page "The Hamburg Centre for Ultrafast Imaging", which was the cluster that existed before this one. Please get in contact with me.

Decline reason:

Your choice of new username is not acceptable, please read the username policy. Your username must indicate that a specific individual is exclusively operating this account(your real name is not required). I am aware that organization names as usernames are permitted and even encouraged on the German Wikipedia, but they are not permitted here. Regarding the block itself, your text was blatantly promotional in nature. Wikipedia is primarily interested in what independent reliable sources state, not in what an article subject wants to say about itself. You won't be unblocked to continue to violate the conflict of interest and paid editing policies by editing about your organization. If that's all you want to do here, this is the end of the line for your Wikipedia career. If you want to be an individual, general Wikipedia contributor, please tell what subjects unrelated to your conflict of interest you will edit about instead. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 10:59, 29 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
