Hi Connie, Jan has asked me to work on adding citations to the existing content on the KO page. So you might see some edits by me as I try to learn the wiki-ways. Just wanted to give you a heads up that I'll be playing with the article and to say hi.

Klara 99.235.62.108 (talk) 21:21, 4 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Klara: Thanks! I'm not sure how to put footnotes in yet--you will have to show me how. I have been pulling out key quotes from the articles at the bottom. I intend to rewrite them into my own/neutral language with footnotes to the appropriate article at the bottom. Don't bother citing to KO website--they need to be edited sources such as newspaper or journal articles wherever possible. There are more sources on the media page of the KO website for the individual projects which I haven't looked at yet either also. --Connie L Crosby (talk) 03:14, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed you just created this article in the mainspace. I'm guessing you meant to create it in a sandbox in your own user space, then move it once it was complete. Odds are, someone will tag it for deletion rather quickly as the content looks pretty much like a working template. You've been here a while but I don't know how familiar you are with sandboxes, but if you need help setting one up, just ask on my talk page. Dennis Brown (talk) (contrib) 20:44, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dennis: Yes, I was trying to create it as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Connie_L_Crosby/geosoft. It was a while since I created a page off my profile, and the instructions I found on creating a new page obviously misdirected me. I would love a nudge in how to delete that page I created quickly, and create the page I would like to set up. Thanks kindly! Connie L Crosby (talk) 13:06, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

And there you go, I figured out how to start a sandbox page! Thank you. Connie L Crosby (talk) 13:16, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've moved it to the article space. Let me know if you'd like the sandbox redirects deleted. Cheers! -- JHunterJ (talk) 20:50, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Brilliant! Thank you, JHunterJ. Yes, please go ahead and delete the sandbox redirects. Much appreciated! Connie L Crosby (talk) 20:58, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

 Done. -- JHunterJ (talk) 22:29, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for all your help! Connie L Crosby (talk) 01:23, 28 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

New 10,000 Challenge for Canada

[edit]

Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject Canada/The 10,000 Challenge is up and running based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge for the UK which has currently produced over 2300 article improvements and creations. If you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Canada like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1600 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for Canada but fuelled by a contest such as The North America Destubathon to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. I would like some support from Canadian wikipedians here to get the Challenge off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile! Cheers. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:55, 22 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
