Reliable sources

[edit]

Please note that Wikipedia relies on reliable sources for verification of article content. Websites created by or for a person (such as Deborah Leslie's website) are considered primary sources are generally not considered reliable sources and should not be relied upon to provide verification of significant facts about the subject. Please see if you can find better sources for your article about Deborah Leslie. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:42, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please do not add spam links, as you did with this edit to Deborah Leslie. The fact that Ms Leslie hires herself out as an after-dinner speaker does not mean that she is successful at this venture, and her own website advertising herself for that service does not provide any verification of her success. Such a link can only serve the purpose of promoting Ms Leslie's speaking career, which is not the purpose of Wikipedia. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:45, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Deborah Leslie has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

reference of author's own website is inappropriate, books are out of print, non-notable, and professionally non-reviewed. all contribs by this page creator have been to promote this author inappropriately throughout Wikipedia.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
