- Mamaharyaindia, please keep it on just one talk page. User:JavaHurricane is the one who declined your draft, not me. If you'd like to ask for advice, WP:TEA is the right place. Cheers, Eumat114 formerly The Lord of Math (Message) 08:33, 27 April 2020 (UTC)

Peter Stanton / (James) Peter Stanton Duplication
Hi, sorry if i'm posting this in the wrong place i'm still learning to navigate the messaging interface here.
Regarding the question about the duplication, of the Peter Stanton (James Peter Stanton) yes it appears to be. Apologies, I had originally drafted that page a few months ago but I thought i had deleted it (at the time it didn't seem to have been viewed by any editors at all and after a few Non-Wikipedia Wikis had copied the information from the drafts section and posted it directly into their pages I thought i'd can it)
I decided to recommence the process yesterday but had no idea that it was still there - apologies for any confusion, i much prefer the current iteration you've helped out on in any case!
Gilpin b (talk) 03:50, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
- Gilpin b, no problems! would you want that duplicate deleted? Also, is "Peter" his first or middle name? Thx Eumat114 formerly The Lord of Math (Message) 03:52, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
- I've just had that draft procedurally declined. Cheers, Eumat114 formerly The Lord of Math (Message) 03:55, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
Yes thanks, please delete it. His name is James Peter Stanton but he goes by the name of Peter Stanton.
Cheers

Peter Stanton
Hi, Thanks for your help with this page!
Just a quick question regarding: the latest edit you did before moving it to the main articles area.
In the body of the article it reads:
"He carried out assessments in several national parks in Queensland, causing the protection many threatened natural habitats throughout the state within a large new area of National Parks."
For the sake of historical accuracy i'm wondering if you (or I) can edit it to say:
"He carried out his assessments in a wide range of dissimilar Queensland landscapes which lead to the protection many threatened natural habitats throughout the state within a large new area of National Parks."
The reason i'm asking for the change is that none of these threatened areas were National Parks at the time that he conducted his assessments.
Please let me know what you think.
Cheers

- Gilpin b, please feel free to do so. I have a limited understanding of Australia, and thanks for the correction! Eumat114 formerly The Lord of Math (Message) 04:43, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

Bkissin (talk) 13:47, 29 April 2020 (UTC)WikiCup 2020 May newsletter
The second round of the 2020 WikiCup has now finished. It was a high-scoring round and contestants needed 75 points to advance to round 3. There were some very impressive efforts in round 2, with the top ten contestants all scoring more than 500 points. A large number of the points came from the 12 featured articles and the 186 good articles achieved in total by contestants, and the 355 good article reviews they performed; the GAN backlog drive and the stay-at-home imperative during the COVID-19 pandemic may have been partially responsible for these impressive figures.
Our top scorers in round 2 were:
- Epicgenius, with 2333 points from one featured article, forty-five good articles, fourteen DYKs and plenty of bonus points
- Gog the Mild, with 1784 points from three featured articles, eight good articles, a substantial number of featured article and good article reviews and lots of bonus points
- The Rambling Man, with 1262 points from two featured articles, eight good articles and a hundred good article reviews
- Harrias, with 1141 points from two featured articles, three featured lists, ten good articles, nine DYKs and a substantial number of featured article and good article reviews
- Lee Vilenski with 869 points, Hog Farm with 801, Kingsif with 719, SounderBruce with 710, Dunkleosteus77 with 608 and MX with 515.
The rules for featured article reviews have been adjusted; reviews may cover three aspects of the article, content, images and sources, and contestants may receive points for each of these three types of review. Please also remember the requirement to mention the WikiCup when undertaking an FAR for which you intend to claim points. Remember also that DYKs cannot be claimed until they have appeared on the main page. As we enter the third round, any content promoted after the end of round 2 but before the start of round 3 can be claimed now, and anything you forgot to claim in round 2 cannot! Remember too, that you must claim your points within 14 days of "earning" them. When doing GARs, please make sure that you check that all the GA criteria are fully met.
If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article nominations, a featured process, or anything else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed (remember to remove your listing when no longer required). Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! Hi Eumat114. Yan Kingdom (Three Kingdoms) has been posted at GoCE with a request for a copy edit. I started this by correcting the dashes to be MoS compliant and you reverted. I am aware that you are the main author and not the requester, so can I ask you to confirm whether of not you would like the article copy editing? Thanks. Gog the Mild (talk) 13:00, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
- Gog the Mild, yes, and thanks. I discussed with the requester and the requester helped me start a request. I then saw that you were using the tool and, having just installed it, decided to try it out by reverting your edit and doing it with my newly installed dash-filler tool (the same one). It seemed not to be working; hence, I un-undid my changes. Thanks for helping me CE the article! Eumat114 formerly TLOM (Message) 13:03, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
- Fair enough. Copy edit finished. A nice little article. Feel free to revert anything you don't like or which I have got wrong, or to ping me if there are any changes you don't understand. Gog the Mild (talk) 14:11, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
