Thanks for the message but I just want you to know that I would have deleted myself as I have already taken the screen shot that I wanted to show-off about and laugh at when I am bored. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Troyeebarua (talk • contribs) 12:54, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Wikipedia Signpost — February 23, 2009
This week, the Wikipedia Signpost published volume 5, issue 8, which includes these articles:
I was just looking over your ACC requests that you have handled and have noticed two requests where obvious mistakes were made. Namely not picking up a username vio at first glance (fortunetly it was taken, but this still means the wrong email would have been sent.) and also marking a requested username as taken when it was a double up of a previous request that was created (in this case it should have been dropped in order to not confuse the end user with 2 conflicting emails).

Thank you for promising ban, but I am underlining, I am not a vandal. Please, look, one third of the articles, that refer to White Russia concern Russian White Movement, that has no common with Belarus (White Ruthenia). Please, read also, the article (esp. Speedy Deletion of Swish (band) entry by Jimfbleak
Hi Frehly,
I wonder if you might assist me: I hope I have/am following the correct channels, as I am new to Wikipedia. I did post a talk message to Mr. Jimfbleak regarding his speedy deletion of the Swish (band) entry, but just to be sure I thought I would state my case here with you as well.
The reason I am contesting said deletion is as follows:
According to the Notability guideline for musical topics, Swish meets two of the twelve guidelines for musicians and ensembles, numbers 1 and 6.
"A musician or ensemble (note that this includes a band, singer, rapper, orchestra, DJ, musical theatre group, etc.) is notable if it meets any one of the following criteria:
1. It has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent from the musician or ensemble itself and reliable.[footnotes 1]
This criterion includes published works in all forms, such as newspaper articles, books, magazine articles, online versions of print media, and television documentaries[footnotes 2] except for the following:
o Any reprints of press releases, other publications where the musician or ensemble talks about themselves, and all advertising that mentions the musician or ensemble, including manufacturers' advertising.[footnotes 3]
o Works comprising merely trivial coverage, such as articles that simply report performance dates, release information or track listings, or the publications of contact and booking details in directories.
o An article in a school or university newspaper (or similar) would generally be considered trivial but should be evaluated on a case-by-case basis."
Please note that Swish has been the subject of several independent published articles, including in The Boston Globe, New Music Express in London, and CMJ (College Music Journal). Please see http://swishtheband.com/SWISH_PRESS.php for copies of several of these articles/reviews.
Moreover, Swish also meets criteria number 6:
"Contains at least one member who was once a part of or later joined a band that is otherwise notable; note that it is often most appropriate to use redirects in place of articles on side projects, early bands and such, and that common sense exceptions always apply."
As Swish's drummer, Patrick Murphy, was and is the founding and current drummer for Dinosaur, Jr., Swish is also relevant for this point as well.
Can you please assist me in having the entry reinstated? In addition, I do not have a copy of the posting and would like to get it back.
I hope this answers any questions you may have. Please let me know if there is any additional information that I may provide to assist in the speedy and prompt reinstatement of this entry.
Lorigregory you may want to try re-creating the article in a subpage of your userpage (EX: User:Lorigregory/Swish (band)). That way you can redo the article and not have to worry about it being deleted. And once you feel the article meets Wikipedia's music guidelines you can try moving the page back to Swish (band). Just make sure to include valid third-party sources to show that the band does have some notability. You might want to see this article for more help. --FrehleySpaceAce10:42, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
Frehly thank you so much for the reply and the suggestions.
I don't mind, i thought it was just another test page, because it only has one sentence and no sources, external links, ect... --FrehleySpaceAce22:12, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Well its stubby I grant you, but the idea of speedy deletions is to get rid of the blatant stuff that definitely shouldn't belong here. WereSpielChequers13:36, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
Wow, are you kidding me? You would actually put that crap in an article created? what does it matter if it doesent have sources, wtf do u care, do u get paid. Get real, this is not a big deal at all, don't know why u would waste ur time with that, done know what satisfaction u get from it.
The article still needs third party sources, to confirm the companies notability. I'm going to remove the speedy deletion tag for now and try to help you find some third party sources. --FrehleySpaceAce04:33, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
AfD warnings
Hi. When they revised the AfD template recently the reminder seems to have dropped off it, but when you have AfD'ed an article, like Gerin hohl just now, it's a good idea to notify the article author with {{subst:adw|<articlename>}} on his talk page (I've done it in this case). If the talk page is blank beforehand, that now seems to generate a welcome message as well as the AfD notification. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 17:38, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
I guessed it was probably an oversight, but I thought I'd mention it in case you didn't know. I think I'll ask for the author warning to be put back on the template, as it is on the speedy and PROD ones - that's what always used to remind me to do it. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 18:01, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
Account creators
Mind telling me why you think the older version is better? I'm just wondering because I think it looks less than professional, it's not even a sphere. Plus it uses images created by Nuvola and aren't original. I'd appreciate your input. -- penubag (talk) 02:10, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
I like the older version better because it's a better quality image. Honestly i like the design you changed it to, but the quality of the image isn't that good. If you can make the image a little more clear, i'd be fine with the change. --FrehleySpaceAce04:58, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

Hello Frehley I am sorry i wrote that submission on Christmas Designs and please delete it i didn't know that businesses could not be included it just i have seen other businesses on Wikipedia and thought that i could put this company in since they are a very unique company in Canada but i fully understand your reason to delete them
Actually businesses can be included in Wiki, as long as you have some reliable third-party sources in the article to show that the company has some sort of notability. If you can add some sources to the article it can remain on the site. I'm not an admin so i can't delete the article like you asked above. --FrehleySpaceAce13:33, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
If the company has been mentioned in any articles by major websites/newspapers, ect... you can use those for the sources. You can look at this article for info on how to cite sources. --FrehleySpaceAce14:11, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
Hello, Frehley. You have new messages at Nilest's talk page. You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
RE: Valerie Plame edits
I put those "vandalism" edits in there to get your attention so you'd read the actual entry and correct it for veracity.
The current entry is full of unproven non-facts that appear to have been written by some partisan Democrat and excerpted straight from Plame's crappy autobiography.
Don't get me wrong, I don't want the article spun to the right either. I just want the obvious leftist spin removed. Its a simple rule: if its not provable as bona-fide fact, it shouldn't be there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.116.212.32 (talk) 18:57, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for the help, Frehley. I'm not sure, but it seems as though you're being a little more cooperative now. I waswondering if you could remove the tags from the page, since I'm not allowed to. If you'd like, I could try to find some other mentionings of him on the internet, although I'm not sure there is any unless I can find the archives of the magazines websites or someone who went to one of the wrestling shows talked about it online. Anyways, also, I'm trying to add a picture to those statistics, but I don't know how exactly wikipedia is expecting me to format it like. I've tried it like three different ways KeyThis184 (talk) 22:21, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
To add a photo you need to use WP:UPLOAD to upload the image to Wikipedia then all you need to do is copy the file name to the "image" section of the infobox, just make sure that the image is free before uploading it. Also, since the article has nothing to show the person has notability i'm not going to remove the speedy deletion tags. If the article does get deleted again you may want to try re-creating it in a subpage of your userpage (User:KeyThis184/RobyD), so you can add sources and fully make the page without worrying about it being deleted. And once your done you can move it back to the mainspace. —FrehleySpaceAce22:44, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
i've cited it properly. there didn't appear to be any obvious consensus - i actually came to wikipedia to read about it and was surprised it was missing. the article is heavily biased. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 3tmx (talk • contribs) 23:00, 15 April 2009 (UTC)3tmx (talk) 23:19, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Refer to WP:NC during the process of renaming an article, if a name does not adhere to these guidelines, be bold and move the article to the correct target name. If there is a naming conflict, follow the steps to a resolution or discuss the move on the project's talk page.
Avoid overlinking in an article. If a subject has been linked once already in the body paragraphs, there is no need to link it again. Lists are the only exceptions to this policy.
The lead section of an article should introduce the subject and summarize the entire article's contents. The size of the lead will depend on the size of the article.
Hello Frehley, just a quick message to say that when a page is blanked, please always check the page history to ensure that it is not the creator blanking the page, if it is then the page can simply have {{db-blanked}} placed on it. A edit you made to Kenneth Cobonpue reverted a blanking of a page by the page creator, thus please remove your {{uw-blanking#}} warning from User talk:Kenneth Cobonpue. Also I know this is difficult when using huggle or twinkle, as I use huggle myself, but this is, in my opinion, a serious issue, as it means users are left with warnings they don't deserve, anyway, good work in the recent changes and thanks! SpitfireTally-ho!00:46, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
