[edit]
There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Longhair\talk 22:46, 19 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a place to merely tell about a company. Wikipedia is only interested in what independent reliable sources with in depth coverage state about article subjects that are notable as Wikipedia defines it. For companies, that is defined at WP:ORG. Wikipedia has no interest in what a company wants to say about itself. You will need to review conflict of interest and paid editing, both of which indicate that you should not directly edit about your company, instead making edit requests for existing articles and submitting drafts of new articles using Articles for Creation. However, in order for you to be successful at the latter, you would need to forget everything you know about your company and only write based on the content of independent reliable sources.(that does not include press releases, basic announcements, the company website, or any other primary source) Most people in your position find this very difficult to do(though it is not impossible). You won't be unblocked if the only thing you are here to do is tell the world about your company. If you want to be a general Wikipedia contributor, please state what it is that you want to contribute other than information about your company. 331dot (talk) 11:03, 20 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

I was going to create an unbiased article for our company and along the steps, it seemed to me like it was allowed but I suppose I now understand that it has to be submitted as a request for others to add, which I will do under this new username as a personal account. Perhaps the submission page should be a lot firmer on not being able to submit content about one's own company. Thank you.

Decline reason:

I'm sorry, but I cannot unblock you at this time. Please read Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations.

The proposed new username is acceptable. However, the other elements of the block still need to be addressed. To be unblocked:

If you have no interest in editing Wikipedia beyond writing about your organisation, then you will not be unblocked. If this is the case, I recommend you consider alternative outlets.

So we know understanding is mutual, please state your understanding/response to each item in your own words.

I'm sorry that this message could not be more favourable.

(any other admin should feel free to modify these conditions or unblock at their discretion.)e -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 17:39, 20 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
