A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Gaconservancy/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages; user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: Click here to contest this speedy deletion which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy deletion candidate). Doing so will take you to your user talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also edit this page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would help make it encyclopedic. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. E Wing (talk) 08:27, 12 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. Request reason:

The username gaconservancy was only picked because it's easy to remember. It is the username for most of the group's other online accounts, which are edited by multiple people in the office. Additionally, The information on the page is all based off of reliable information from the Georgia Encyclopedia and Ga. Conservancy records, among other places, and is not intended to be promotional in nature--merely informational. The Georgia Conservancy has been online since 1996, but, as of June 2014, still did not have a Wikipedia entry where people could go to find out about the history of the group. Finally, they decided it was time for one. Gaconservancy (talk) 16:51, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I'm afraid you'll have to find something that's easy to remember that's also unconnected to the organisation. And accounts at Wikipedia are only for use by individuals. One account, one editor. No password sharing, even between husband and wife. You should read WP:GROUP about notability for groups (unless you are a WP:CORP), and WP:RS about reliable independent sources. You don't just decide to have a page here - you have to show notability and prove it. Text should not be copied from the group's site, but reference can be made there so long as the notability is independently referenced. Peridon (talk) 17:46, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I will change it to my first initial and last name (bfoster) and just use it by myself. I will also edit the entry to make sure that it's purely informational in nature, if such is not already the case. Thank you for the feedback

That's fine. But do consider this one more time:

Here are a few key questions:

You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the 3 important principles above. Daniel Case (talk) 21:15, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
