There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. 331dot (talk) 12:18, 22 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Requested username:

Request reason:

I am doing an academic activity and would like to create wiki pages to create awareness about colleges in Trichy region

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficiently convincing for any reviewing administrator to take action. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. Yamla (talk) 12:05, 6 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

unblock discussion

[edit]

Considering the promotional nature of the deleted page, this seems problematic. In my experience, " create awareness " is a euphemism for "advertise". To be clear, you instructor has a group of students writing Wikipedia articles? Is this person available on-wiki? Can you link to the course page? Can you link to the curriculum? Is the intent to teach students how to right encyclopedia articles, or is it something else?

If the intent is to learn to write encyclopedia articles, There are training modules you should complete. Probably completing those should be a condition for unblocking. The deleted page looks like it was copy pasted from the subject's web page. All content must be cited from reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and have a reputation for fact checking. Colleges, generally speaking, must meet WP:CORP to meet notability requirements for an encyclopedia article. Please read user:Dlohcierekim/g11 and User:Dlohcierekim/promo for information on the sort of content to avoid. Please affirm reading that as a condition for unblocking. I think if you do these things, it will be a start in the direction of unblocking. Any admin may modify unblock conditions or unblock at their discretion. Hope this helps-- Dlohcierekim (talk) 10:47, 23 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

PS Class work does explain your user name = subject of article name. And clearly, this subject would need to meet WP:CORP.-- Dlohcierekim (talk) 10:51, 23 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
