My name is Bob Higgins. I was the first American to play for Neptune Basketball Club in Cork Ireland from 1973 - 1976. I was lucky enough to play at the top level in the early days of the National League and was a teammate and opponent of many of the legends of Irish basketball who helped lay the foundation of the sport in Ireland . A few years ago after finding that the documented history of the early years of basketball in Ireland was very poorly documented. I started a research project ( blog/web site ) trying to address that before it is lost. Here is the link to  the site.  https://ibb-history.blogspot.com/   .... At this stage I think it is the most extensive source of historical information available addressing that topic and could be helpful to the visitors to your site/pages.. I have no financial or commercial interest with this site although I do list some books that are available which also address the history of the sport BUT the real purpose is to help tell the story of Irish Basketball History.   

I hope to be able to add this link or related links to various Wikipedia pages that concentrate on Irish Basketball.
