Lietuvininkas, you are invited to the Teahouse
[edit]Hi Lietuvininkas! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
Featuring your work on Wikipedia's front page: DYKs
[edit]Thank you for your recent articles, including Siege of Medvėgalis, which I read with interest. When you create an extensive and well referenced article, you may want to have it featured on Wikipedia's main page in the Did You Know section. Articles included there will be read by thousands of our viewers. To do so, add your article to the list at T:TDYK. Let me know if you need help, Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 18:15, 28 July 2013 (UTC) |
WikiProject assessment tags for talk pages
[edit]Thank you for your recent articles, including Siege of Medvėgalis. When you create a new article, can you add the WikiProject assessment templates to the talk of that article? See the talk page of the article I mentioned for an example of what I mean. Usually it is very simple, you just add something like {{WikiProject Keyword}} to the article's talk, with keyword replaced by the associated WikiProject (ex. if it's a biography article, you would use WikiProject Biography; if it's a United States article, you would use WikiProject United States, and so on). You do not have to rate the article if you do not want to, others will do it eventually. Those templates are very useful, as they bring the articles to a WikiProject attention, and allow them to start tracking the articles through Wikipedia:Article alerts and other tools. This can help you too, as the WikiProject members will often defend your work from deletion and try to improve it further. Feel free to ask me any questions if you'd like more information. DYK for Siege of Medvėgalis
[edit]On 31 July 2013, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Siege of Medvėgalis, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that King John of Bohemia (pictured) brought poet Guillaume de Machaut to the Siege of Medvėgalis so that his crusading deeds could be commemorated in songs and poems? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Siege of Medvėgalis. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Tyus Edney, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Benetton Treviso. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Euroleague stats table
[edit]Hi! Please, review your work and study more on how to present a valid information before hitting "save" button. Here are some of the notes when you import stats from the Euroleague.net website on wikipedia:
- FG% - make a sum of 2PM and 3PM and then divide it by the sum of 2PA and 3PA. Then, you'll get true FG%;
- Minutes per game - if in stats you see for example 14:51, that means 14 minutes and 51 seconds. You don't have 100 seconds in minute, so you need to divide seconds with 60, to get true decimal number for MPG;
- Career row - You have to put it inside also (***)
- Career PIR and MPG - One of the ways, count total minutes / PIR player had in every season and divide them by number of games player played in his career to get true career MPG and PIR respectively;
(***) - Because of its complexity, try not to add stats to all the players, there is a lots of work to do when updating these tables after each season. Putting these tables for players who average under 5 points for example is not worth time.
Thanks!--AirWolf talk 11:57, 28 November 2014 (UTC)
- Update: I have deleted all the tables of players who averaged under 3-4 points per game. Criteria for deletion mentioned above. Also, I have noticed where the cleanup is needed.--AirWolf talk 20:16, 28 November 2014 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Daniel Romanovskij
[edit]The article Daniel Romanovskij has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}

File permission problem with File:Justas Paleckis.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Justas Paleckis.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 17:20, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
Stats in football players' infoboxes and update of career stats
[edit]Hi.
When you update the stats in football players' infoboxes please remember that you should also update the timestamps as of when the stats are correct. This is done by updating |pcupdate=
(or |club-update=
) parameter when updating club appearances and goals, or |ntupdate=
(or |nationalteam-update=
) when updating national team appearances and goals. The easiest way to do this is to use five tildes, which automatically converts to the current time. For example |club-update=~~~~~
.
When you update the career statistics please remember that you should also update that timestamp as well to a time when the stats are correct. This is done by manually updating the date above or below the statistics table. By doing this we show when the stats were last updated and it prevents other editors from accidentally updating the stats again.
This is done to show other editors when the stats were last updated and prevent them from accidentally updating the stats again, and also it shows readers that it has been updated.
Please keep this in mind. Thank you. Qed237 (talk) 21:16, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of David Arshakyan
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on David Arshakyan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
