Your username

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw that you edited Rheinmetall, and I noticed that your username, "Rheinmetall", may not comply with our username policy on the English Wikipedia. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, service, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually (not your role), such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, service, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Schierbecker (talk) 08:19, 3 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

We value Wikipedia as an important source of information. We want to make an active contribution by regularly updating important information about our company - e.g. Rheinmetall AG's business figures, personal names, corporate structure, etc. - in Wikipedia. - in Wikipedia. - on a regular basis. Of course, we respect the Wikipedia philosophy by limiting ourselves to objective information and refraining from advertising our company. Rheinmetall (talk) 09:43, 21 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  1. Your username violates English Wikipedia's username policy. While German Wikipedia allows verified accounts to be named after companies, English Wikipedia does not. You will not be allowed to continue editing here with this account unless you change your username. Any change of username will apply to all language-versions of Wikipedia. I am sorry, but this is non-negotiable.
  2. Please confirm that only one person has access to this account. Access to a Wikipedia account cannot be shared with others.
  3. We strongly discourage you from editing the Rheinmetall article directly, due to conflict of interest concerns. Instead, please limit your involvement to making edit requests on the article's talk page (Talk:Rheinmetall), where uninvolved editors will evaluate the requests. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:25, 21 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Your account has been blocked from editing because your username gives the impression that the account represents a group, club, organization, company, or website. Your username is the principal reason for the block. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy, which is summarized here.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here.

Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change of your current account here. The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username on this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page (this page): {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken or in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
