Sorry about your RfA...[edit]
I noticed your comment about WP:NICK's newsletter. Thanks!
On a much more serious note, I'm so sorry about your recent RfA. I would have supported you if I knew you were going through, and maybe, just maybe, it would have helped. I wish I could have been there. If you need anything, feel free to drop me a line. :-) -phobia don't be afraid to drop a line! 17:15, 1 January 2009 (UTC) N 35.83146° E 51.01517°
Love Systems[edit]
Happy New Year Suntag!
I finished the article on "Love Systems" (User:Coaster7/Love_Systems) and I want to put it back in DRV to get the page back up. Is it correct that an admin, like you, should put it there? I am not sure after reading some of the deletion policies. Thanks in advance. Coaster7 (talk) 02:31, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
- Happy New Year to you, too. I'm not an admin and anyone can post a request at DRV. Basically, your request will be to allow recreation of the article. -- Suntag ☼ 16:20, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for clearing that up. I submitted it. Thanks again for your help. It really helped out and shape the article in the best way possible.Coaster7 (talk) 01:27, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
Janelle Pierzina[edit]
Pursuant to your response at WP:BLP/N, as the disruption is coming from a single IP, would it not be more focussed to target that address? The offending IP address seems to be static, so a permanent block may do the trick. If you agree, could you oblige? Ohconfucius (talk) 02:43, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
MISS TOURISM WORLD[edit]

Nick Savoy[edit]
I have also worked on the "Nick Savoy" page that was previously deleted. After using your approach on the Love Systems page, I tried to answer 1) who is Nick Savoy? and 2) What does Nick Savoy do?. Could you help me on improving the article on Nick Savoy? Thanks in advance Suntag. Coaster7 (talk) 02:22, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
- The approach doesn't involve seeking to answer any question. Whatever the reliable sources say about the topic is what goes in the article in chronological order. As for the Nick Savoy article, it reads he was born under his stage name and then he received his B.A. He was born under his real name and I'm sure something happened to him before he received his B.A. You should work the last eight or so sentences into the article chronologically. As for the general approach, first gather all your raw research material into one Microsoft word document in chronological order. I added some links at User talk:Coaster7/Nick Savoy that should help you find the research material from Google. To find reliable source material not indexed by Google news, books, scholar, go through the pages here looking for news articles, etc. Arrange everything in the MS word document chronologically, create your citation strings for each entry, and save as Nick Savoy research. Then copy that document to Nick Savoy article. Open the MS word Nick Savoy article and add the coding for Template:Biography to the top. Use that as the framework within which to develop the article. Next, go through each reliable source, starting at the top. Apply whatever you find to the draft article. Once done with a source, erase it and move onto the next one. Repeat until all the sources have been erased. Next display a preview of your draft article in Wikipedia. This will show how the article will appear without actually saving the article. Read what is shown and change and save the Nick Savoy article Microsoft word document accordingly. That will help you avoid losing changes &action=edit pages if your computer get disconnected from the Internet. Then copy the Nick Savoy article Microsoft word document to your open Wikipedia edit page and hit the preview button. Keep repeating until your draft is ready to be posted to Wikipedia. -- Suntag ☼ 14:27, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
- Great advice Suntag. I will use this approach and will let you know how it goes. Thanks again.Coaster7 (talk) 05:32, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
- I've revised the page again with your approach. The new sources I've found were good and the approach you suggested worked out great. Thanks for that. Do you mind having a final look before I submit it to DRV? Thanks again Suntag. Coaster7 (talk) 23:55, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Love Systems[edit]
My area of greatest interest, and specialty, is music, so I generally restrict myself to those articles. I've also been trying to spend less time on this website in general; I'd prefer to contribute somewhere where my work is afforded some measure of permanence. But it looks like the DRV is headed in the direction of restoring for that website, and I think that's appropriate, so I think it should turn out quite well even without my help. Cheers! Re: December DYK hooks[edit]
Suntag, I've been meaning to e-mail you about my feelings on your RfA but I've been on vacation for a while and haven't had much internet access. Anyway, after seeing your latest post at WT:DYK, I just wanted to say I agree with you that you didn't do anything wrong by nominating a lot of hooks; everyone who understands DYK knows that you did it to help DYK, not to help yourself, and that lots of other contributors do the same thing. To be perfectly honest, I was pretty angry to see your RfA, which up until then had been looking like almost a done deal, get hijacked and ruined over false issues put forth by individuals who don't appear to understand what they were talking about (with no offense meant to Mattisse, who is an editor who has helped me a lot on WP, but whose actions in this case I just don't agree with). I tried to post a statement at the RfA defending your nominations, but it must have been too little, too late, because the RfA ended just a few days after that. It infuriates me because (although, admittedly, I wasn't paying close attention to the discussion over the last couple days), the issue that seemed to define the RfA was this stupid non-issue; maybe it's partly my fault, and the fault of other people at DYK, for not having come sooner to quiet these people's regrettable misunderstandings of how DYK works.
A lot of people seemed to think that your being a good contributor means that you're trying to game the system to become an admin as fast as possible. If good contributions in a variety of areas is the same as gaming the system, what makes the rest of those people any better than you and me and the other editors who have consistently come under attack? Daytona Beach Golf Course[edit]
I was wondering if I could ask you to look over Daytona Beach Golf Course and see if you could find a "DYK" for it. I seem to have a AfD stalker who wants to delete the article. Thanks. Gamweb (talk) 17:01, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
- The 31 October 2008 AfD seemed to be a straight forward keep. DYK would first require a 5x expansion of the article. -- Suntag ☼ 17:42, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
Miss Tourism Queen International[edit]
I was just asked on my talk page for some help with articles from individual years of this which were merged after Afds, but have since been restored with little visible improvments. As I think you're already working with the ed. who did it, perhaps you can follow up. If you need any admin help, just let me know--see my talk page at [1]. DGG (talk) 04:46, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

Working on a new DYK template[edit]
Hey Suntag. Because of some suggestions from Gatoclass back in December, I've started working on a new DYK nomination template, possibly to replace {{DYKsuggestion}} and {{DYKsug}}. I've left an [as brief as possible] explanation and request for feedback at WT:DYK#Working on a better nomination template. I know you're not very active at DYK now (and I can't blame you...after the various events of December, I have barely worked there either, and the main reason I'm still working on this is because I told Gato in December that I would do it so it's kind of just unfinished business that I need to get off my conscious), but since you were the biggest contributor to the current DYKsuggestion/DYKsug system, it would be helpful if you could come and take a quick look, if you have a moment.
Oh, and this is pretty unrelated, but as for our last project (trying to make a list of DYKs that have gone on to FA/FL/GA), I've finally gotten up and running, and you can see the finished [more or less] product here.
Thanks, and I hope all is well, Politizer talk/contribs 02:58, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
about Livecare Support[edit]
Hello, I read your deletion review comment regarding Livecare Support Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Log/2009_January_14. I hope you don't mind if I ask you something. Obviously I don't agree with all the comments, and obviously I don't want to keep asking to change your mind.
I ask to you if it's possible, and if it's correct to add the name of Livecare Support into the article Comparison_of_remote_desktop_software. I will add only the name, without links.
Please tell me if my question is not correct or if I've to ask to somebody else. Wikipedia policy is a bit complicated for me. I wait your reply. Alfax (talk) 08:52, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
DYK hook count[edit]
I seem to recall it was you who wrote this program. I moved it from the Suggestions page to a new page, Template:Did you know/Queue, and now it doesn't seem to be updating anymore. Did I do something wrong, and more importantly, can you fix it? Thanks, Gatoclass (talk) 14:33, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, it does seem to have updated now, so maybe it's working okay after all :) Gatoclass (talk) 13:56, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

After 8 months standing guard alone against all attacks on the Subject, and after surviving two AfD discussions, I thank God an Editor with the interest and vision, has come forward to improve the article.
He has just reworked the first Section, but it´s not in the article yet. As an Editor who once expressed an interest in improving it, what do you think of his editing?
