Speedy deletion nomination of UWC Changshu China

This is my first Wikipedia page. I read a lot about how to create a page, and knew that I needed to disclose that I worked for the company that I am creating a page for. However I was not able to find the area to disclose this. I am sorry as I also did not know it would be published straight away. I thought it was being submitted for review first. I must have not followed the instructions properly. I would love the opportunity to edit the page and receive feedback on how to ensure the page meets the requirements for a legitimage information-based page on the school UWC Changshu China. I note that a lot of other UWC schools have successfully created a page. I hope I can do the same, as I feel the UWC Changshu page would be a useful edition for those seeking to learn more about UWC worldwide.

Decline reason:

Wikipedia is not a place to merely tell about something. Wikipedia has articles, not mere "pages". This is a small but important distinction. Those articles summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about(in this case) an organization, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable organization. Articles are typically written by independent editors, not organization representatives, this is most likely how other similar organizations have articles about them. That other similar articles exist does not automatically mean that this one can too, it depends on the sources. Not every member of a field merits an article. Your comment "I feel the UWC Changshu page would be a useful edition for those seeking to learn more about UWC worldwide" is exactly the wrong reason for a Wikipedia article to exist- that is a promotional purpose. We are only interested in summarizing independent reliable sources. Please review conflict of interest(or this plain language explanation of it). You won't be unblocked to, in the short term, edit about your organization. If that is your only goal here, this is the end of the road. If you are interested in being a general contributor and editing about topics unrelated to your conflict of interest, please tell what those might be.
