Sovereign states by year

[edit]

Hi, I see you have created a number of articles [List of sovereign states in xxxx]. However, I believe that is not needed. There are very little changes in the number in sovereign states. It would a lot wiser and easier to create one big article which would outline all major changes that led to creation/disappearance of certain sovereign state. Don't you agree? I am going to nominate the articles you created for deletion... Renata 18:19, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In the middle ages it might be hard, but in the 21st century? And to create 5000 lists is ridicilous... You really need to come up with some better way to organize and present the info. I like the idea, but I absolutely hate the way it is carried out. Renata 18:33, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You can present your case at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of sovereign states in xxxx. I do understand how much work and time it took to create all those lists, but please understand that it's not the way to present such information. Renata 19:31, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

sovereign states maps

[edit]

Hi Sobira, I noticed you have requested a large number of maps of sovereign states for the 20th century. A while ago I did a series of maps of olympic games participants where I tried to use historically accurate borders. I have blank versions I could load if that would be any help? The article no longer exists, and the information contained was questioned, so it has been removed from DYK.-Andrew c [talk] 15:05, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
