Good removals! Bishonen | talk 17:12, 2 June 2013 (UTC).

Thank you for the tip! I'm having difficulty finding the links in question. I'll check out the Wikipedia:EL. ThomKibitz | talk 12:08, 6 June 2013 (EST).

The unbolded does not mean it is part of its official name. Whatever was bolded is it's official name. Obviously! (Facepalm) Oh and please stay off my Contribs page Thanks and good day sir! (talk) 02:55, 17 June 2013 (UTC))

You need sources if you want change the names of things. E.g., you can't just say it's called The Kohl's Corporation or The Denny's Corporation without a source--it's not a matter of your personal taste. And please be careful to be WP:CIVIL. Logical Cowboy (talk) 03:01, 17 June 2013 (UTC)

Edit on Vista Journal

You need to stop removing my entries for "Vista Journal", I have just as much right to post about my blog as any other company has the right to be listed in those areas! — Preceding unsigned comment added by ‎Owlofthenight (talkcontribs)

I removed the list of ingredients since it seems unencyclopedic. -- Brainy J ~~ (talk) 14:30, 25 June 2013 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for your response. It was mainly a friendly reminder about edit summaries. I don't have strong feelings about whether the ingredient list should be included. But given that it was a removal of sourced accurate information about the subject of the article, it's a good idea to give a specific policy-based reason. Logical Cowboy (talk) 14:45, 25 June 2013 (UTC)

Beverage Partners Worldwide

Hi, I've made the suggested changes to this page, removing some external links and material that looked of an advertising nature. Could you remove the tag? Thanks for your tips. I'm new on wikipedia.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chandlerlorraine (talkcontribs) 08:11, 18 July 2013 (UTC)

COI Tag

You made a perfect call placing the COI Neutrality Tag in article Alex Zhavoronkov. According to the project description, this article was not supposed to be posted by the editor, but instead compiled and prepared according to Wikipedia's rules and in the markup language. I asked other editors to look at it and help with the edits. If possible, can you please take a look at the page to check if the tag is necessary and consider removing it or deleting the whole page? I explained the issue at the COI noticeboard after spending hours reading about the policies. 32.146.255.6 (talk) 01:33, 22 July 2013 (UTC)

I will respond on the COI page. Logical Cowboy (talk) 02:36, 22 July 2013 (UTC)

AFD/COI

Hi mate! This is entirely fair enough but thought I should let you know that I've also been discussing the user's COI with him on his talk page. Having now read the policy (which he had not done originally) he is now more accepting of my original comments, and yours. He has committed to leaving that AFD alone (having read my note after making his last comment) as much as possible and will try to lay low with regard to other COI stuff. He seems genuinely interested in editing WP in areas where he doesn't have a COI. Seems like a good-faith approach. Anyway, just thought I should draw your attention to it. Cheers, Stalwart111 01:59, 1 August 2013 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for your comments. I hope you are right, but that will be difficult in his line of work. BTW I brought the COI guidelines to his attention about three weeks ago--it's just above your comments on his talk page--and he's continued to edit the AfD since then. Cheers. Logical Cowboy (talk) 02:25, 1 August 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, I was aware of the COIN thread and actually commented there (before it was archived) and then in the AFD and on his talk page. I'm not sure he understood, then, what was actually recommended for COI editors. Anyway, it will be difficult (as you say) but we'll see. Cheers, Stalwart111 03:53, 1 August 2013 (UTC)

Afternoon tea article

Hey, Cowboy! We need to work on that afternoon tea article. Any mention of the U.S. has been stripped out, but the only photograph of afternoon tea was taken in the Rittenhouse Hotel in Philadelphia (gawd, the tea service is cheap decalware china, not the Wedgwood or Spode used in London.) The article needs a photo of the Palm Court at the Ritz in London, the River Terrace at the Savoy or somewhere similar to show British afternoon tea at a hotel, then the restoration of the discussion of tea practices, such as they are, in the U.S. What think you? --Drmargi (talk) 17:58, 8 August 2013 (UTC)

Howdy. I'd be fairly comfortable restoring some material from the United States section of early 2012--even though it led to lots of arguments. As I recall the material was unsourced. Maybe that would be a good approach--grab some old text, and source it better. With that said, I don't think the United States section of Tea (meal) should be very long--US culture is not central to Tea (meal) and Tea (meal) is not central to US culture. Logical Cowboy (talk) 21:41, 8 August 2013 (UTC)

Angela Hill

It was based on the comment you left in regard to external links WP:ELNO. You referenced WP:ELNO. After I read "Links normally to be avoided," I thought you were trying to help me by pointing out "Links mainly intended to promote a website..." and "Individual web pages, that primarily exist to sell products or services, or to web pages with objectionable amounts of advertising." This was the reason I removed the "External Links." Thank you for your help. Schwartzenberg (talk) 13:06, 12 August 2013 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for your response. My edit summary was an explanation for my edit, it was not a message to you. My edit was to delete the link to the Facebook page, which is listed under point 10 of WP:ELNO. By all means you should feel free to apply WP:ELNO to external links. With that said, it was not clear that the links you deleted were problematic. For example, you deleted her biography page on the tv station's website. I didn't see how that violated anything in WP:ELNO. Logical Cowboy (talk) 13:26, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for explaining this to me. I may have thought about the policy too much. Since her biography page on the TV station's website has advertisements, I thought it had to be removed from "External Links." I appreciate you taking the time to point this out. Schwartzenberg (talk) 13:35, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
I guess it is a judgment call where to draw the line. But the biography page has a lot more real content than advertising, so I think it is okay. Logical Cowboy (talk) 13:38, 12 August 2013 (UTC)

David Carter, pic removed... Why? ? ?

Hi, I hope you will be fine. ? You are removing the pics from David_Carter_(entrepreneur). May i know why? the picture of David Carter are with reputable and well known persons.. So what's the reason? may i know that? DAR (talk) 15:56, 16 August 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for your message. This is an encylopeda, with rules such as WP:NOTGALLERY and WP:NOTPROMOTION. It's not for promotion or advertising. May I ask why you wish to promote David Carter (entrepreneur)? Logical Cowboy (talk) 21:43, 16 August 2013 (UTC)

the end

I think wikipedia should hire credible persons to do such things. all the references that i have added were extremely relevant...... that's why i have added them.. and you have undone them / ?? without even reading what was in those links... anyhow i came to know in the end that wikipedia is being running by fools instead of some credible persons hired by wikipedia themselves. Block me from editing.... right now....... don't wait ok.... DAR (talk) 05:06, 17 August 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for your comments. I do not run Wikipedia and I cannot block anyone. The links you added are problematic under WP:RSMED. Also they seem to be promoting your own website. See WP:REFSPAM. Logical Cowboy (talk) 13:41, 17 August 2013 (UTC)

Bed - Bed frame review

Logical Cowboy, Barek, NeilN, Apparition11
Each of you have edited either Bed or Bed frame during 2013. In December 2012, User:Andrewman327 requested that Bed frame be merged into Bed. I opposed the merger. No other comments have been made since then. Based on your multiple prior edits, would you do us the favor of responding to the proposal. If a consensus develops would someone close the request after a short period of time.
Thanks.__SBaker43 (talk) 06:51, 27 August 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for asking, but I don't feel strongly. On the one hand, other bed parts like mattress have their own articles. On the other hand, neither the bed or bed frame articles are great on their own. Notably, WP policies have been absent from this discussion. Logical Cowboy (talk) 00:51, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

Wondering what flagged it as "commercial" - do there need to be more sources to support the content? Please advise - thank you. :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by ThomKibitz (talkcontribs) 20:19, 28 August 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Rule Britannia

This page has pretty much nothing to do with me. All I did was move the content of the page that was there before (about the song titled Rule, Britannia!) to Rule, Britannia! to reflect the proper title of the song. I have no opinions on the current content of the page entitled Rule Britannia as I have never edited (or read) the existing content. ▫ Urbane Legend chinwag 23:01, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

Prod on Al Tamimi Investments

I've removed the PROD on Al Tamimi Investments. I don't like paid content creation at Wikipedia any more than the next guy, but it's probably a fact of life we'll have to deal with. Taking this particular article at face value, I believe there are sufficient independent sources to avoid a PROD. Take the matter to AFD if need be. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 11:27, 29 October 2013 (UTC)

Ditto StopAfib WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 11:33, 29 October 2013 (UTC)
If you want to de-PROD something, it's better not to take the article at "face value," or to count whether there are "sufficient" references. In this case, the two articles have a total of 50 references, none of which establish notability according to WP policies such as WP:CORPDEPTH. By far, most of the sources are press releases. Logical Cowboy (talk) 14:41, 29 October 2013 (UTC)
I did check most of the sources. Admittedly, the article needs better sourcing because most of the sources are self-published, but some are not, which, I believe, moves the article past a PROD candidate to at least an AFD candidate. The valid (independent) sources I find for Al Tamimi Investments include:
  1. Big Start is Half the Battle
  2. Hit the Big Time
These sources indicate that Al Tamimi's "Big Start" competition has made some noise in the local business scene. Enough? Maybe not. But enough to avoid a PROD, I think. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:11, 29 October 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for your response. The first source barely mentions ATI. The second source is not independent enough to establish notability--it's a promotional interview with an ATI manager. In both cases, any potential notability of Big Start does not accrue to ATI, per WP:NOTINHERITED. Logical Cowboy (talk) 15:21, 29 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi, we try to keep a consistent variety of English throughout the entire article. Potato chip is pretty clearly American English, so throughout the entire article we should use American English. Hey

I am Muhammad Ali Khalid, the editor that caused a lot of paid editing problems in the past few days. First off, I would like to apologize for all the mess that I created and all the work that you had to do to fix things. I am really sorry. I see that you have tagged The Future Project as COI. I am not getting paid to do Wikipedia editing any more, so can you please clarify how that is COI? I tried my best to write keeping NPOV in mind. Can you please specify why is the article a new release? I would like to fix my writing style to match Wikipedi standards completely. I read NPOV page again, but can you please specify the issue. Thanks Muhammad Ali Khalid (talk) 14:09, 15 November 2013 (UTC)

Hello, I think a good way to match Wikipedia standards would be go to back and declare your COI on all your paid edits. Which WP articles were you paid to create or edit? According to WP:COI, you are supposed to declare that. Let's see you follow the rules of Wikipedia. Logical Cowboy (talk) 17:03, 17 November 2013 (UTC)

Welcome back

Hi Cowboy, since you are so interested in all the things I do, you may want to hear a little more: I found a job (Wait, you are from Spanin. What? a job? Not possible.) Yes, good for me, I guess. That means that i'm no longer a paid advocate here in Wikipedia, so all my edits from Guo Jian on will be because I wanted to do them. (Been to Australia recently and I was really impressed with his work and the Outback, it's like Castilla in Spain only 10 times bigger and 10 times dryer). Well, back to the main topic. Even Tough i apreciate your edits and delete requests I shall ask you to be that strict with ALL the content you happen to come across in this site. It really seems to me that you have some kind of obsession with my work, and i'm ok with that, but please be as much of a demanding editor with everyone else.

Just a little thing, if you are going to tag something that took me more than 100h to do, please don't just leave a copypasted message from somewhere else, because the only thing that that behaviour shows is that you don't want to improve the Wikipedia, you just want to delete everything that you don't like.

Have a nice day from sunny (not so today) and beautiful Spain. Elandroid (talk) 08:48, 26 February 2014 (UTC)

Caesar (cocktail)

Hello, this is a response to your deletion of an update to the entry about the Caesar (cocktail). It does not look like you have a personal interest in this story, but I would appreciate a confirmation of that. So here is the problem. My father Lou (who is 89 and in poor health now) never had a newspaper story written about him. However, the inception of the Caesar is well-established in our family oral history. You will recall that my entry does not take anything away from Chell, even though he was the manager of the hotel restaurant and bar at the time, not the bartender. The idea for the Caesar did not arise out of thin air. The inspiration occurred when my father presented Clamato to Chell, along with other new products for the restaurant. It does not seem quite right that I need to get a journalist to interview me, it gets published in a newspaper article, and then someone cites that article for the amendment. I am the source, and I happen to have academic publications to my name. What do you suggest? Rlubensky (talk) 23:34, 10 June 2014 (UTC)

I edited the Sarita article to point out that a) the US Border Patrol Sarita checkpoint is 14 miles south of Sarita on US Route 77 and b) Riviera, TX is six miles north of Sarita on US Route 77 and has filling stations, convenience stores and a few restaurants. Both a) and b) were referenced by means of double brackets to other Wikipedia articles but you put them on hold for, I think, lack of reliable sourcing. So what more sourcing is needed? I drove up US 77 just a week ago and can promise you that both the checkpoint and Riviera were there at the time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.1.48.19 (talk) 20:05, 15 June 2014 (UTC)

I see that you are the sort of moderator who picks and chooses in the manner of religious apologists to make a spurious point. You ignore that the edits I made were referenced to existing Wikipedia articles and picked up on the incidental remark at the end that I'd been able to see by direct observation that the Wikipedia articles were right. I suppose Category:Chancellors of universities of the University of California or Chancellors of (colleges or universities) of the University of California System are also possibilities. What do you think?....Pvmoutside (talk) 13:10, 23 July 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for your response. I know that for CUNY and SUNY, they are sometimes called colleges, unlike UC, which is made up of 10 universities. These are also called campuses. So I recommend Category:Chancellors of campuses of the University of California. This passes the test of being accurate and fitting what the campuses would call themselves, such as here [3]. Again, there are no "colleges" of the University of California, that part is incorrect. Best wishes. Logical Cowboy (talk) 13:20, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
THanks for the followup, now changed to campuses......Pvmoutside (talk) 13:03, 2 August 2014 (UTC)

Conflict of Interest

Thanks Logical Cowboy, I was instructed by a friend (who actually wrote the article) to submit it here as my own username. I now see that I need to suggest the article be written instead. I went ahead and blanked out the submission... I didn't see where I could actually delete the draft, though. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cptn crnch (talkcontribs) 11:48, 31 July 2014 (UTC)
