October 2023

Information icon Hello, I'm NebY. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Islam by country, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. NebY (talk) 11:45, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

here : https://www.constituteproject.org/constitution/Maldives_2008 its the constitution which clearly talks about how the country is 100% muslim TheOneMaldivian (talk) 11:56, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It does not. It says the state religion is Islam. It does not require everyone in the Maldives to follow that religion or make it illegal to follow another religion, and even if it did, it would not constitute evidence that everyone in the Maldives did follow that religion or that no-one followed any other religion. NebY (talk) 12:04, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Article 9: Citizens: Despite the provisions of article (a) a non-Muslim may not become a citizen of the Maldives. TheOneMaldivian (talk) 12:05, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That refers only to acquiring citizenship and besides, no law or constitution can constitute evidence for the actual situation, in the Maldives or anywhere else. If everyone obeyed the laws and constitution, there'd be no need for prisons. NebY (talk) 12:16, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Okay you can believe what you want, I'm saying this, you need to do your reseac=rch properly 👍. TheOneMaldivian (talk) 12:23, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
See Wikipedia's policy Wikipedia:Verifiability and the article it links to, Wikipedia:No original research. NebY (talk) 12:32, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Islam by country, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. NebY (talk) 21:21, 17 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Maafushi (Dhaalu Atoll)

[edit]

I reverted your edit to Maafushi (Dhaalu Atoll) because you added no sources and the subject is not notable. As you are a new editor, you should focus on improving existing articles before attempting a new article yourself. Chris Troutman (talk) 19:18, 17 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

How many more warnings do you need?

[edit]

I reverted your edit to Bulhalafushi for the same reason: the subject is not notable. Your editing is not helpful and at some point, becomes disruptive. Chris Troutman (talk) 15:41, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you delete it? Its just a page about an island?. I even added sources TheOneMaldivian (talk) 16:31, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It is an important thing for us, In our country we need to know about things like this TheOneMaldivian (talk) 16:37, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Besides, why are you being so rude? This is my country and i'm just writing about the islands there TheOneMaldivian (talk) 16:36, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. It absolutely does not matter that people in your country like reading about your uninhabited islands. It does not matter if people all over the world are ignorant of these islands. What matters is WP:GEOLAND and WP:GNG. Our encyclopedia does not retain content on every single person, place, or thing that has ever existed. Wikipedia is not doing you the favor of giving you a free website. Apparently it takes my "rudeness" to get your attention, because you ignore less-threatening boilerplate messages. Chris Troutman (talk) 16:56, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Fine, do whatever you want. Think about yourself only, and do all you can to stop people from spreading information that YOU don't like 😂. Bye. TheOneMaldivian (talk) 17:31, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Gulhifalhu requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.gulhifalhu.mv/project/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. November 2023

Information icon Hello, I'm CommissarDoggo. I noticed that you recently removed content from Christianity in the Maldives without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. CommissarDoggo (talk) 12:18, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There aren’t any Christians here. Non-citizens don’t count as population TheOneMaldivian (talk) 12:19, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
