Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy. It also appears that your account is intended to be used for the purpose of telling the world about an organization or cause that you consider worthwhile. Unfortunately, many good causes are not sufficiently notable for their own Wikipedia article, and all users are discouraged from editing in any area where they have an inherent conflict of interest, though you may wish to consider one of these alternative outlets.

If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. If you prefer to be unblocked for the purpose of changing your username to a username which complies with our username policy, so that your contributions with this username are recorded as contributions of your new username and rather than creating a new account, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice instead. Thank you. Requested username:

Request reason:

i changed my username so that it is a name that is no longer associated with the effort/the cause as you put it; and, i am asking that you not block the page USA Placed Victims-Survivors of The Canadian Scoops because it is not an organization so much as literally a group of people, of genocide victims only recently recognized legally as a class of genocide victims, i.e., if you want to take away the initial caps so that it doesn't look like an organization that might be a more genuinely accurate description of this actual population of peopleUSAPlacedV-SCanadianScoops (talk) 23:34, 5 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Please post a new request when you have responded to the questions below so we know when to check back for your answer. Thank you! Hersfold (t/a/c) 20:01, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Here are a few key questions:

You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the 3 important principles above. Daniel Case (talk) 17:39, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock Me - Answer to the 3 ?s

[edit]

Answers to the 3 questions:>

> 1. 'Yes', I understand that wikipedia is an 'encycolpedia' and not a 'business directory'; > > 2. 'Yes', I understand 'conflict of interest', and, > > 3. 'Yes', I understand, that the subject matter must be 'notable'. > > Please change my username to 'soodie' or I can pick another and unblock me. I have received e-mails from 3 wikipedia pr firms that are available for hire. So that I don't have to pay to get onto wikipedia please review and give me whatever guidance you can as to how to keep my edits on wikipedia. > > As per your questions: > > The original block on my page 'USA Placed Victims-Survivors of The Canadian Scoops' accused my page of being an organization,i.e., USA placed victims and survivors of The Canadian Scoops (or 60's Scoops) is not an organization anymore than victims of Hitler or Stalin or Idi Amin or Suharto are an organization. I think the problem could be edited correctly to avoid that appearance of being an organization by taking away the initial caps so that it reads instead ' USA placed victims and survivors of The Canadian Scoops'. > > The original block on the same page also accused page of being 'conflict of interest', that is alleviated by my changing my user name so that it isn't the same as the page? I don't care what my user name is; I just wanted something easy to remember (No conspiracy there). > > More: the block on me as user undid my edits (simply additions of information) to page titled '60's Scoop' and that is not right because my changes added accuracy to that page. That page is missing crucuial information. It's one thing that that information was missing because primary sources had not released it, but, now that more information is available about the '60's Scoops' it should be published. that information is coming out over the last year and will be more coming out this coming year because of Truth & Reconciliation Commission Canada which is now expanding into the USA beginning in Maine. > > As far as being 'notable', i.e., i also realize that wikipedia does not serve as a primary source. the notation i have for USA placed victims-survivors of The Canadian Scoops starts with documentation that is now referencable since Augugst 2011 in National Archives of Canada. Aboriginal People's Television Network is also broadcasting more on this population of genocide victims this month. Hopefully that satisfies notation requirements? > > > Thank you.
