Welcome!

Hello, Ufasportsmedia, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as UFA Sports, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Bazj (talk) 11:55, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on UFA Sports, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Bazj (talk) 11:55, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen (Ufasportsmedia) seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.

There are two issues with this:

  1. It is possible that you have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization or adding links to its website.
  2. Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.

Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the guidelines concerning editing where you have a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. The article in question is UFA Sports. Thank you. Bazj (talk) 11:56, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.

Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, celebrity or other well-known individual, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See WP:FAQ/Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

You are still welcome to write about something other than your company, organization, or clients. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Hi, I've just found your second (?) email in my spam folder, I didn't see the first at all, so I don't know what you are asking. I've put this page on my watch list, so it might be better to post here. If it's about appealing against the block, the procedure is above in the box, and would be dealt with by someone other than me. Otherwise, post here please Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:58, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I understand the block and the misapplication of myself. Please unblock me or give me a new username (for example: create1text), thank you. Best regards.

You need to go through the procedure in the box above, so the block is reviewed by someone uninvolved. I can't create a username for you, only you can do that if you are unblocked. Although I'm not closing the door to changing the block to allow a new acciunt, I have reservations. Your only edit before the block was to the article which shares your username. If you read the above box, it is likely that even if you are unblocked you will not be allowed to edit that article. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:13, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

conflict of interest --> I understand the block and the misapplication of this user. Please unblock me or give me a new username. It was not obvious to me, that there is a conflict in interest. With this user I won`t edit the same article.Thank you.

Decline reason:

It wasn't obvious to you that there wasn't a conflict of interest between creating an article on a company using that company as your user name? (as well as, I presume, your employer or client). That seems a bit unlikely. To be unblocked you're going to need to a) convince a reviewing admin that you actually do understand our policy on conflicts of interest and b) explain what topics you intend to edit. Request reason:

the german wiki is a bit different, so thats why I made this mistake. I just want to unblock my user to edit in future maybe an article. But you can also delete this user. At the moment I don`t want to edit a specific article.

Decline reason:

If you are interested in editing other areas at some point in the future, please feel free to request an unblock at that time, specifying what it is you want to do. It is not possible to delete accounts. Seraphimblade Talk to me 01:49, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
