[edit]
There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Longhair\talk 00:36, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am trying to create a page for Master Rodney Batiste the world champion in Karate

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. 331dot (talk) 01:47, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Then your username is not acceptable. Please see this and pick a different username. —A little blue Bori v^_^v Bori! 01:50, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I have been trying to create a page for Rodney Batiste. Who was the FIRST BLACK Karate World Champion. There are many pages dedicated to WHITE fighters, several whom he knocked out, that are listed on Wikipedia. I thought that I had to use my EMAIL address as my username. Now I understand that. I believe that the world should know that a Black man was able to rise out of poverty and become a world champion. Black youth should be able to see there is a chance for them to get out of the ghetto. Master Batiste has proven his skills and commitment to the Black Community but I am constantly denied the ability and I wonder if the Wiki community is upset that I am trying to showcase a black man who was able to defeat a white champion to become a champion himself. As two administrators stated that his story is NOT educational even though he was the FIRST BLACK WORLD CHAMP. There are many pages for white fighters, why is a BLACK fighter's history not educational? So, I am asking for the name change and understand why it did not fit but I feel that denying a black fighter's page would be unethical.Wcrbkarate (talk) 21:42, 13 December 2018 (UTC)

Decline reason:

You have a conflict of interest about this person. See WP:COI to understand the policy here. Note that this has absolutely nothing to do with the race of the fighter. Yamla (talk) 21:54, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

There is not conflict. I am trying to show that a BLACK MAN was able to win the championship. It seems that Wikipedia and the administrators do not believe that African-Americans have a right to celebrate their accomplishments. You are stating over and over again that ONE BLACK PERSON is not allowed to right about another one. Even though the WHITE FIGHTERS were written up by their folks. That is an issue of race. Where WHITE is okay and Black is denied. There is a word for that but your filters will not allow it R_A_C_I_S_M

Decline reason:

This does not in any way address the reason for your block. Rodney Batiste may well be a suitable topic for Wikipedia, but that has no bearing on why you were blocked. Yunshui  08:14, 14 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Talk page access revoked. I made it very clear that the problem was WP:COI, not the race of the fighter. Your username is Wcrbkarate and https://www.wcrbkarate.com/, a site you explicitly linked to, is a site entirely about that particular fighter and his program. Not to mention your contributions being entirely promotional. Another admin will be along shortly to review your unblock request. They are free to reinstate your talk page access if they think your request is valid or if they believe your unblock request should be denied but you should regain access to your talk page. I am, however, deeply disappointed at you for flinging your entirely unsupported and breathtakingly inappropriate accusations of racism at myself and other administrators here. Your edits were inappropriate and this has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the race of the fighter. It's entirely possible someone without a conflict of interest could write a non-promotional article about that fighter, adhering to WP:BIO and other core policies. What you wrote wasn't that article. --Yamla (talk) 22:58, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I would add that we have no way of knowing the race of any editor. Further, Wikipedia is not for celebrating anyone's accomplishments. This is an encyclopedia. If you just want to tell the world about this fighter, you should do that on your website. As noted, you have a conflict of interest. I don't know if you are black or not and I don't need to know. It isn't relevant. 331dot (talk) 23:35, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
