YOSA was created in 2004. The football club that same year represented the North West region of Cameroon in the interpools football competition. The football club also played the 2005 North West interpools and in 2006 the club again represented the North West region still in interpools.

YOSA was promoted between 2008/2009 into MTN Elite One Championship. Yong Sports Academy’s entrance into First Division in Cameroon football cup completion with brave performances has maintained the club at the 6th position between 2009/2010 and 2010/2011. With YOSA’s ambition to grasp the Cup of Cameroon, the team remains firm to professional football. The team management of Yong sports Football club which is determine to take the team to higher heights continues to maintain professionalism in its training and recruitment of professional players. Yong sports football club has at its disposal a transport bus for the players, a stand by medical team to take care of the health needs of the players. Also made available for the players is allowances, match bonuses and free lodging. The club carries out training sessions every day from 9:00 am at the Bamenda municipal stadium. The club also trains at times at the Yong Sports Academy (YOSA) training ground located some 7 km from the Bamenda main city. Coaches Mr Ndalle Emile Toguem Jean Baptist
