Shaun Liu (born 2 July 2010) is a snooker player from Hong Kong.[1]

Early life

From Hong Kong, Liu emigrated with his family to the UK and is began training at the Ding Junhui Snooker Academy in Sheffield.[2]

Career

In April 2023, he won the English under-14 title aged 12 years-old defeating opponent Nicholas Ayers 4-0 in the final.[3]

In December 2023, given a wildcard into the 2023 Snooker Shoot Out at the age of 13 years-old, he set a new record as the youngest-ever winner of a televised ranking event match, beating the record set by Vladislav Gradinari, when he defeated Indian professional Ishpreet Singh Chadha.[4][5][6]

In February 2024, he won the Yorkshire under-16 title defeating Harry Pottington in a decider.[7]
