English: A North American T-39D Sabreliner on display at the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum in Lexington Park, Maryland. This T-39D, Bureau Number 150987, was received by the Navy in August 1964 and was used to train Naval Flight Officers. In August 1977, it was transferred to support the development of the F/A-18, and was equipped with the F/A-18 nose and radar, and was used for radar development and testing. In September 1988, it was transferred to the US Naval Test Pilot School and was retired in July 1989, after having been flown for 6,735.4 hours and completed 4,282 landings (including one gear-up landing). It was transferred to the museum in May 1994.
