Summary
DescriptionUVEX S3300 Genesis XC protective eyewear.jpg |
English: HONEYWELL (UVEX) S3300 (clear lens) and S3301 (gray lens; allowing 18% of the visible light to pass through) Genesis XC protective eyewear consists of a plastic frame (one size) with interchangeable polycarbonate lenses. The frame features ratcheting adjustment and telescoping arms for improved fit and comfort. The lens provides extended coverage over the eye socket area. Additionally, a small ventilation space has been engineered between the frame and the lens that vents the eye socket area to help reduce moisture. The frame is identical to that used in the UVEX Genesis. The frame and lens assembly weighs 1.3 ounces (37 gram). All lenses have been treated with a hard-coat on the exterior surface to reduce scratching and an anti-fog coating on the interior surface to reduce fogging. The UVEX XC provides ballistic-fragmentation protection, and meets all ANSI Z87.1-2003 optical and safety requirements. The lens material blocks 99.9% of all UVA and UVB light. An optional prescription lens carrier is available for those who require corrective lenses. Genesis XC Safety Glasses are also designed to meet the ballistic impact standards set by the U.S. Military (MIL-PRF-31013, Clause 3.5.1.1). These standards are 7× higher than ANSI requirements. These MILITARY COMBAT EYE PROTECTION (MCEP) glasses are on the AUTHORIZED PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR LIST (APEL®) QUALIFIED PRODUCT LIST (see https://www.peosoldier.army.mil/docs/apls/APEL-poster.pdf and https://blog.safetyglassesusa.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/MCEP-Program.pdf) (NSN: 4240-01-516-5361). |
