How is this different than anomalie detection?
editI don't see how this is different from anomaly detection in principle. Any other discipline considers "diagnosis" to be "the identification of the nature and cause of a certain phenomenon" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diagnosis), and so does Gartner: http://www.ithappens.nu/levels-of-data-analytics/ I have never in my academic or professional life seen diagnosis to be used as a synonym of anomaly detection and suggest this page be merged into another article.
Disambiguation
editPer comments on Talk:Diagnosis (medical), moved former article to Diagnosis (medical) and made this article a disambiguation page. --Una Smith (talk) 02:17, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
- Disambiguation page no longer; the topic of diagnosis needs general explanation. --Una Smith (talk) 23:56, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- Almost 8 years later, this entry is still nothing more than a disambiguation page, so I have configured it as one. J.P. Martin-Flatin (talk) 07:34, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
