Video games

edit

Video games, electronic games involving interaction using an input device such as a controller or keyboard,[1] originated as early as 1950.[2] They can be played on a variety of systems, including stationary and portable dedicated game systems,[3][4] arcades,[5] personal computers, and mobile devices,[6] each with a varying share in the video game industry.[7] Video games are played in either single-player or multiplayer[8] and have many unique genres,[9] the most popular of which are action games and shooter games.[10]

Within video game culture, there is a debate surrounding whether video games should be considered an art form.[11]
