Question from Beenish Hanif (20:29, 3 July 2024)
editHi I want to make a page about a sufi saint. How do I do that? --Beenish Hanif (talk) 20:29, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
- Beenish Hanif: Welcome to Wikipedia! Wikipedia only allows those people who have the autoconfirmed permission -- that is 10 edits and a 3 day old account -- to create an article. In the meantime, you can create a draft.
hello, to add a reference, which websites are considered authentic and which ones are not. Moreover, how do you decide on external and internal links? I feel a bit confused in that area. Hope you can help. --Maham28 (talk) 08:04, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Maham28: This Wikipedia page on Reliable sources is a good place to start on references. External references are almost never appropriate in the body of an article so internal links to other Wikipedia pages are invariably more appropriate. External links are provided at the end of an article, like in the page you edited previously. They are usually personal web pages and the like that would provide more information that aren't necessarily appropriate for inclusion on Wikipedia. -- Dolotta (talk) 15:28, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
