Archive
editHowdy, you moved your talk page into the mainspace. I moved it back to User talk:JRN08/Archive-1. JackSchmidt (talk) 17:33, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
- You do it almost exactly like you did before, but instead of just "Archive-2" call it "User talk:JRN08/Archive-2". The interface for moving pages is pretty confusing, in my opinion.
- There is a robot who will do it for you. User:MiszaBot/Archive HowTo explains how to set it up. You would just add:
{{User:MiszaBot/config |algo = old(7d) |archive = User talk:JRN08/Archive-2 }}
- if you want it to put week-old messages into Archive-2. If you want it to automatically make new pages when it needs to, then do this instead:
{{User:MiszaBot/config |algo = old(7d) |archive = User talk:JRN08/Archive-%(counter)d |counter = 2 |maxarchivesize = 50k }}
- Hope this helps! JackSchmidt (talk) 01:28, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Your message
editHi. Thanks for leaving a message on my talk page. I'm not sure I understand what you meant to say... — Lincolnite (talk) 20:13, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
I saw your User page and foundout that you have visited almost everywhere except India. That's what I meant! JRN08 (talk) 20:16, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
- Well you obviously didn't look very closely because I have been to India. — Lincolnite (talk) 20:36, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
I saw it later; these maps look alike. That's nice of you.

Image without license
editUnspecified source for Image:AHSchool-Roll-of-Honour.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:AHSchool-Roll-of-Honour.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 22:34, 12 July 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? --MifterBot (Talk • Contribs • Owner) 22:34, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Notability of Peter Heehs
editA tag has been placed on Peter Heehs requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Largo Plazo (talk) 05:45, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Anil Aggrawal, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Pls note that the article is a BLP and the original contributor is himself the subject of the article. So, you should not change his DOB without providing citations/references. Unreferenced BLPs
editHello JRN08! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 3 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 389 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Aarathi - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- M. M. Kalburgi - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- A. V. Baliga - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
