BC / BCE issues

edit

Please don't change pages just to change BCE dates to BC. Per the Manual of Style, "It is inappropriate for a Wikipedia editor to change from one style to another unless there is some substantial reason for the change; the Manual of Style favors neither system over the other." eaolson 04:34, 16 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm going to re-emphasize this. Please don't do that. Oh, and one of your edits from yesterday (here), while you were doing it, introduced a spelling error, century -> centur. -- Why Not A Duck 23:12, 27 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

No warnings? That's hard to believe, when here you are removing some, and again, including removing what was described as a final warning. Care to explain? – Luna Santin (talk) 21:27, 16 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Request

edit

All those images on this talk page are a little odd; the purpose of a talk page is to communicate with others, and they sort of distract from that. Would you like me to help you move them to a sub-page? I know that you're blocked right now, and I'd be glad to move them to User:New4325/images on your behalf. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 18:03, 17 November 2007 (UTC) Thank youNew4325 (talk) 18:48, 17 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Warning on images

edit

As noted above, the purpose of your talk page is to allow communication. All the large images get in the way of that, because they make the page take a very long time to load. I've moved them to the /images subdirectory that FisherQueen mentions. If you persist in this behavior I will extend your block, and may protect your talk page to prevent further abuse. Raymond Arritt (talk) 00:22, 23 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

WP:RUSSIA roll call and your input required

edit

Privet. You are receiving this message as you were listed on the membership list of WP:RUSSIA at Wikipedia:WikiProject Russia/Members. Recent times has seen minimal activity within WikiProject Russia, and there is an attempt to re-invigorate the project and have it become more organised into a fully-fledge functioning project, with the aim of increasing the quality of Russia-related articles across English wikipedia.

As we don't know which listed members are active within the project and Russia-related article, all listed members are receiving this message, and are requested to re-affirm their active status on Russia-related article by re-adding their username to Wikipedia:WikiProject Russia/Members by adding:

# {{User|YOURUSERNAME}}

to the membership list. You may also like to place {{User Russian Project}} on your userpage, as this will also place you in Category:WikiProject Russia members.

There is also an active proposal on the creation of a single WP:RUSSIA project. The proposal can be viewed at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Russia#Proposal_for_overhaul_and_creation_of_a_single_WP:RUSSIA_project, and your comments and suggestions are welcomed and encouraged at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Russia/Proposal.

We all look forward to your continued support of WP:RUSSIA and any comments you may have on the proposal. --Russavia Dialogue Stalk me 04:34, 2 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Contests

edit

User:Dr. Blofeld has created Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/Contests. The idea is to run a series of contests/editathons focusing on each region of Africa. He has spoken to Wikimedia about it and $1000-1500 is possible for prize money. As someone who has previously expressed interest in African topics, would you be interested in contributing to one or assisting draw up core article/missing article lists? He says he's thinking of North Africa for an inaugural one in October. If interested please sign up in the participants section of the Contest page, thanks.♦ --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:34, 21 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
