Information icon  Hello, I'm Vin09. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Vijayawada Junction railway station without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Mewar Express, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Bharatpur and Hazrat Nizamuddin. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:22, 25 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Use of show preview option

edit

Whenever you are editing articles on Wikipedia, would suggest you use the "Show Preview" option instead of directly publishing changes as you are creating a large number of edits which can be difficult to review.

For example, you have edited the Dedicated Intercity trains of India page more than 50 times. How can anyone else be reasonably expected to review all your corrections ?? Superfast1111 (talk) 12:02, 28 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • Hi Pratik,

Once again, request you to use the Show Preview option whenever you edit pages on Wikipedia.

Also, on Dedicated Intercity trains of India, the intent is to show multiple trains between cities not a single service as you put it (Kerala Sampark Kranti Express). Superfast1111 (talk) 05:29, 1 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Information icon  Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to 2006 Mumbai train bombings, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

The "show preview" button is right next to the "publish changes" button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Jessicapierce (talk) 17:15, 11 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sainthia train collision, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Suri (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Information icon  Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick  Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. As this report shows, you're very seldom adding an edit summary. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 11:04, 31 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
